Molino dei Colori is the former seat of the family of a famous oil manufacturer on the Dolcedo river bank. This impressive mill has been rebuilt to form three generous apartments with independent entrances. From all windows and terraces you can view the romantic scenery of brightly-coloured house fronts and the picturesque river bed. Careful restoration was finished in April 2008. Now modern holiday conveniences are blended with the wonderful atmosphere of a historic building. The 16th century arches and crannies, metre-thick walls with bulges and niches, floors and gaps in the building immerse you in the past. The tasteful decor complements the outside of the building. However, the modern bathrooms are completely up-to-date. Each apartment has a private terrace or balcony with lounge, dining area and barbecue.

Molino Rosso is the smallest of the three apartments. It’s a romantic hideaway for two persons. It’s 40 m2 with a kitchen, bathroom with shower and double bedroom. The outside includes a fantastic large balcony with loungers and dining area in the old press below the mill, reached via the street (30m around the house). You’ll be able to see the famous scenery of Dolcedo for yourself.

Dolcedo is well known for its beautifully preserved historic centre. The breathtaking view of the weir, Maltese bridge, and bright mill fronts and aristocratic houses have inspired many artists and invite passers-by to linger awhile. But you can enjoy all of this from your own terrace and from every window of your holiday home. Molino Colori is located in a side street right on the river-bank and within easy reach on foot of all holiday amenities such as restaurants (there’s one directly opposite), shops, buses, pharmacy, bank, cafe, riding stables, bike hire etc. Nevertheless you’ll be just 10 minutes by car away from the sandy beach or the winding streets of shops in Imperia or from mountain walks.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices include bed linen, gas, electricity and water. Final cleaning costs a one-time fee of €40 per booking. Central heating charges are separately calculated where necessary. Cot available free of charge on request. All prices are for 2 persons. Each extra person is charged €25 per person per week. Babies and small children are charged as adults.
  • Arrival on Saturdays between 4 pm and 7 pm, departures on Saturdays before 10 am. Your booking is valid when you have informed us by email or telephone, we have confirmed, and payment is received within 5 working days.

Wir waren kurz nach der Eröffnung letztes Jahr ganz spontan in Dolcedo und haben den Urlaub sehr genossen!!
Am Abend auf der Terrasse sitzen und über den Fluß schauen, die Frösche hört man leise und man kann das italienische Lebensgefühl richtig miterleben. Direkt nebenan ist ein kleiner Lebensmittelladen und 2 gute Pizzerien, da braucht man das Auto eigentlich nicht mehr.
Besonders gelungen ist die Einrichtung des Apartments- unsere Freunde hatten noch das kleinere benachbarte Rosso gebucht und somit konnten wir uns von der ebenso sehr geschmackvollen Gestaltung von beiden Apartments
überzeugen! Es fehlt an nichts, die Lage ist zentral, aber durch den Fluß sehr ruhig. Wir haben schon für dieses Jahr gebucht!
