This rental is also only a very short car ride to skiing, golf, hiking, rafting, fishing, iconic rock climbing, mountain biking, hunting and outdoor activities of every kind. Our family of four lives in the main house on the property and both adults work in downtown Boulder: hospitality and real estate. We love entertaining.

This is a shiny new building built with love. For us it was important to be downtown with a short commute to everything and never having to worry about driving home after having a glass of wine with dinner. This apartment is phase one of our plan to eventually expand our main house so we dont have to share a bathroom with our sons when they turn into teenagers.
We so enjoyed our month long stay at this carriage house. Beautiful neighborhood to stroll around every evening. Pearl street and other shopping opportunities within walking distance. Brand new studio apartment fully stocked with every creature comfort needed. Angela was a delight to work with. Highly recommended!
The carriage house was perfect! It is designed nicely and the owners have utilized the space well. Having a washer and dryer in the property was a plus. The location is perfect for strolls down Pearl st. Or a short drive to Chatauqua trails for some hiking. We can't wait to come back next year!
We loved out stay here. It was beyond our expectations. Perfectly appointed and extremely clean and inviting. Our hosts were amazingly helpful. We could walk easily to downtown shops and restaurants. It was just a delightful way to spend a few days.
My husband and I visited Boulder for our daughter's graduation and stayed in the cottage house. It is a sleek and modern space with every amenity one could ask for. The space is brand new but designed to compliment the owner's older home. The studio is perfect for a couple or small family! The fully equipped kitchen is quite large and ideal for someone on an extended stay! I was amazed at how large the closet was. It was even equipped with a full sized washer and dryer. The cottage is centrally located to the university, Pearl Street, and the 28th street mall. In fact, we walked to Pearl Street several times. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely and loaded with character. I highly recommend Angela's cottage house as it is a comfortable and convenient space!
You may wonder why this is the first review. You will quickly realize this is a plus for you as a renter. This carriage house is a brand new construction. When I first walked in I wondered who was the designer in the family as the attention to design and detail are noticed throughout the rental. Everything is high end, and well crafted. The shower has a solar tube window which allows for beautiful natural light into the bathroom. The outdoor deck gives you more views of the mountains. While the space is not that big, you have all of the amenities you need and the space instantly makes you feel at home. Brand new full size washer and dryer are great for travelers making this a stop on their journey.
I would take this over a hotel any day, and would greatly recommend it for a longer stay rental as I just lived there for three months and fell in love with the Whittier neighborhood. You wake up to views of the Flatirons; there is amazing light in the space, and you also have full control over the tasteful window shades and screens.
Within a ten minute walk you have access to Richard Freeman's Ashtanga Yoga studio, the Iyengar yoga center (I highly recommend Laura's classes), Boxcar Coffee Roasters (hands down the best espresso in Boulder) which shares its space with Cured which is a must visit. Frasca, Mateo, Pizzeria Locale - all ten minutes or less from your door.
Angela and her family are wonderful hosts, and yet you will have all of the privacy you need. I think it is fair to point out the obvious - you are staying in a carriage house. Which means you are staying over a garage. I lived there for three months and had no issue with this - just think it is better for you to be aware in case you find yourself extra sensitive to the bit of noise you would hear of the garage door from time to time.
You will love your carriage house rental. I did.
