The detached and spacious house is located less than 5 minutes from the city ring of Padua in all directions, it offers an ideal starting point. Although it belongs the main city, his garden is in complete silence and green zone. Shopping opportunities and restaurants are within easy reach. A sports center with swimming pool, tennis, etc. is just a few minutes.

The city center is by bus or car from house only 10 minutes away. There are also good bus connections. The large parking area near 'Prato della Valle' is the starting point for sightseeing. From here, everything is within walking distance: Basilica of Sant 'Antonio, Botanical gardens, the Palazzo della Ragione, the Maktplätze, Giotto's frescoes, Galileo Galilei ´s observatory , the historic university with its world-famous anatomical theater, etc.

In the surrounding area are the many stately mansions, monasteries and small townsc in beautiful surroundings: Arquà Petrarca, Strà, Piazzola etc.. Destinations are the vineyards of the Euganean hills with their typical restaurants. Padova is convenient distance from Venice, Vicenza, Verona, Asolo, Treviso, Bassano. Not far are the terms of Abano and Montegrotto. Sandy beaches can be reached in about 1 hour (Sottomarina, Chioggia,Rosolina).

great base for touring NE Italy

We were a group of 5 from Canada (Vancouver) on a month-long visit to Italy, and chose Padua as a base for a week in the NE. The house is marvellous - very spacious, well-equipped, and full of interesting artwork. It was very comfortable and easy to get to the autostrada for our trips to interesting towns like Verona, Asiago, San Daniele, Parma, and others. We also had a day in Venice, but took the train from Padua which worked well. The only drawback was that the house does not have Internet, but the owner was very quick to provide a list of places where we could check e-mail. Her parents were very helpful and friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.

Beautiful home in Padova

We felt so at home here. The house is beautiful and enormous!! Great supplies in the kitchen, beautiful artwork everywhere and a charming outdoor space. You feel the instant you are here that it's not just a rental, it's someone's home. Nicolettes parents waited for us at the house with the keys and showed us around. I don't speak much Italian and they don't speak much English, but we did just fine.They were such cute grandparents. We just caught the train from Padova to Venice and drove around other days. It's a great location, and walking distance to grocery and local coffee and evening bars. It was a great place to relax after running around sight-seeing all day. The yard was great for the 10 year old son to blow off some energy after our days out travelling.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
