We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the fully appointed kitchen. We have provided every appliance & utensil to concoct the perfect meal or libation…just bring the ingredients. Enjoy your meals on the spacious Lanai or dine in the climate controlled air conditioning. Also, our commercial grade Vitamix blender lends itself well to local produce smoothies or creative libations.
Honua Kai sits beachfront in North Kaanapali so you’ll literally be just steps away from the tranquillity of Maui’s shoreline. An “Ohana Play Package” is readily accessible, including beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, and a portable cooler.
If you wish to avoid excessive baggage fees from the airlines, consider packing lighter and utilizing the washer and dryer in the suite.

This was our second trip to Maui and the beautiful Honua Kai resort. Adam greeted us upon arrival and made sure everything was set for our stay. The friendly staff at Maui Resort Realty met all our expectations prior to our arrival in Maui. Everything in the condo was as expected and we certainly enjoyed having a clothes rack to hang wet garments on and the beach chairs certainly came in handy. We did experience a few problems during our stay (washing machine malfunction due to ill fitting door, which was repaired promptly! and the ice machine did not want to dispense ice, that was until a piece of packing foam came out, then it worked perfectly!) The unit was clean and comfortable for our group of 4 adults. We appreciated having the queen bed in den versus the hide-a-bed. The unit could use a few more dishes in kitchen to be the 'fully appointed' that it is stated to be. Having only 4 coffee mugs mean't we were running the dishwasher more often more that 3/4 empty so we would have clean coffee mugs in the morning (who wants to wash dishes on vacation!!). When we return to Maui, which we hope is soon, we would book at the Honua Kai without hesitation. Aloha!
Our Christmas stay was so special. The condo was roomy for 5 adults especially when you open the lanai doors all the way and get that island breeze and aromas and aloha!
We made use of the beautiful kitchen daily and the bbq area and equipment is first class.The wifi signal is strong, cable great, wireless music, perfect.
lOne cool thing is we never heard our neighbors, this is a well built condo. Chris met us with keys etc. to go over a few things and wished us aloha, easy peezy! Now, back to work so we can plan another trip to the land of ALOHA!
This condo was well appointed, beautiful and clean. There was plenty of space and the amenities were top notch. It has everything you could possibly want and need for your home away from home. Maui Resort Realty was very easy to deal with and they even went out of their way to find us on our last day to let us check out later knowing that our flight home wasn't until later in the evening. They were also very quick to help me troubleshoot the problem I had with the washing machine (the door didn't catch very well when I first tried to do laundry and kept getting an error).
The beds were comfortable, the lanai was large with excellent mountain views, the resort was excellent with great heated pools for us to enjoy. There's a grocery store that is walking distance and Slappy Cakes (a great place for breakfast/lunch).
I would highly recommend this condo and management team!
The only thing I wish this condo had would be some beach toys (buckets/shovels, snorkeling gear).
Our stay in this condo was simply divine. It is such a wonderful feeling to walk into accommodation and find that it really is as lovely as the photos and description indicate. The condo was a generous size for 3 of us and one of its best features was the den for our 4 year old daughter who loves having her own space, and her own TV, on holiday. We loved the lanai, which is also generous in size and is sun drenched in the morning. Our daily routine included smoothies, made with the fabulous Vitamix blender, at lunchtime on the lanai and cocktails at sunset. Life doesn't get better! The resort was first class, with great pools and we enjoyed Dukes Restaurant a number of times...excellent family friendly dining in a superb location and with impressive customer service. The beach in front of the resort was super...in fact it provided us with the best snorkelling of at least 4 beaches we visited. We were assured that we would see and swim with sea turtles and sure enough we did, literally in front of the resort. It was magical. The representative from VRBO was superb as was his communciation with us in New Zealand.Having a good supermarket literally over the road was a huge plus and the independence of having a full kitchen and laundry made our holiday very comfortable indeed. We loved the short and very beautiful drive to Napili Bay and breakfast at the SeaHouse restaurant is a must do. For us the location was prefect... private and peaceful. Our only constructive feedback is that we would have really appreciated our condo being cleaned during our 9 night stay. We were well provided for in terms of laundry powder and dishwash but we are used to having a mid stay clean when we hire a holiday house. We also found it an inconvenience that we couldn't charge drinks etc to our room in the restaurant. Having cash or a credit card poolside is less than ideal. Other than that I can't recommend this property more highly. It exceeded our expectations and we will certainly be back in this condo.
We stayed here for a week and found the condo top notch. We have stayed at Honua Kai before and never had anything but a beautiful, clean, and well managed condo; however, I have to speak about the management company that rents this unit. We were very pleased with their service, they handled us well, and we felt we received personal attention that is not always offered.

Our stay at this property was just fantastic. The staff at Maui Resort Realty could not have been more helpful in helping me prepare for our trip to Maui. I would highly recommended their services. The resort was beautiful and room accommodations top notch. This unit is perfect for family of 4. My family and I would stay here again. Maui is just beautiful !!

Open for lunch and dinner come enjoy Mai Tai’s and pupus while taking in a famous Maui sunset. Just looking for a snack or light lunch? Drop in to the Aina gourmet deli located in the Lobby.
