Canarian style villa, 2 double bedrooms with private heated pool sleeps up to 8

This is a modern style, detached villa with a large lounge/diner, 1 double,1 twin bedroom and 2 double sofa beds in the lounge, the lounge leads onto a large rear decked terrace looking onto the private heated pool, a heated pool is a must during the winter period. A stone BBQ is available on the terrace. The front of the villa has its own drive parking. An outside utility area provides a washing machine and drying area. The bathroom is modern and includes a bath with shower attachment and bidet. The villa is fully equipped with travel cot, flat screen TV, DVD which is for use with CD´S and movies, SKY TV. The TV Does have a USB Media port should you wish to bring movies and music on a hard drive for viewing. UNLIMITED WIFI IS AVAILABLE. Thank you.

The Location,

The property is situated where Villas should be, in a calm location, relaxing but only a few minutes from from the centre of Corralejo town and beaches. The location offers good access to other parts of the north being only a ten min drive from the white sand lagoons of El Cotilo, 4 mins from Corralejo town and 4 mins from Corralejo beaches. Clients are often confused with the location of the beaches, they are NOT in the town but are situated on the approach road to corralejo from the airport. You will find very few villas in the town itself. If you wish to be in the center of town i would suggest a package holiday for you and not a private villa. Villa holidays offer a home from home style of accommodation along with private surroundings in relaxing locations. The airport in Fuerteventura is situated in the middle of the island and is around 35K from Corralejo. We can arrange transfers if required for 45 euro each way.

We do recommend that you hire a car when on a villa holiday. You can hire a small car for around 120 Euro for 1 week, slightly less for two weeks. A Taxi from the Airport to Corralejo would be around 100 to 120 return for upto 4 people, the car would offer you good access to lots of beaches, towns and villages, the island is very big and has allot to offer. WE CAN PROVIDE PRIVATE TRANSFERS FOR A LITTLE LESS THAN A TAXI, PLEASE ASK ME IF THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE.

Once at the villa, if you want to head to town but don't want to take the car, get the bus, just opposite the property next to the supermarket is a bus stop, the bus comes every half past the hour and travels into town for 1 euro, its just 4 mins on one straight road, this is what i do, last bus in 8.30pm. Sometimes i drive in, PARKING IS FREE, so if you have a drink, leave the car and jump on the bus in the morning to go and get it. Would i walk, many clients have walked to town, the problem is the lack of footpaths from the development along the road into town, also at night, once away from the development you do not have street lights.Villa holidays often work out cheaper cause you cook, drink and BBQ at home allot.

This Villa is situated behind the Dune area of Corralejo and boasts a beautiful mountain backdrop to the rear with the white sand natural parkland opposite. The natural park stretches as far as the eye can see down to the popular Playa Corralejo beaches and coastline. Only minutes away from a selection of magical beaches and the vibrant town centre of Corralejo which boasts restaurants in abundance. The other direction will take you to the village of La Oliva or the beautiful beaches and lagoons of El Cotilo. The new Bacu water park is a hit with the kids and also offers 10 pin bowling, Golf Driving range and a shark pool, This centre also provides a local market every Monday and Friday. If you have already travelled to Fuerteventura in the past you will already know that Fuerteventura is defiantly a place for exploration with its wide spread beaches, towns, villages, restaurants, water sports and pro golf course.

My wife and I together with our Daughter & her Fiancé used the villa from 19th Sept until 3rd Oct 2009. Everything was just has stated. The villa was clean and very functional with everything anybody would need on a self catering holiday.
A car I would say is essential, too hot to walk during the day and too dark at night if you want to go to correjo. Local supermarket, Shooters sports bar and a Cafe / Restaurant is in view of the villa and a 2 minute walk all English speaking.
Any comments about the pool being small are unfounded, it is excellent for cooling down and playing in. The during our stay wasn't heated but using the pool cover ensured the temperature stayed at very respectful 28 Deg.
Thank you Gary for the use of your villa I would certainly recommend it to all my friends, and thanks to Dave and Marion the Agents for everything, I had to use a local dentist during my stay and there assistance and advice proved very helpful.

Owner's Response: Thank you, its nice to see that some people see things for how they are, i cant please everyone but feel the villa does offer everything that is required to enjoy a relaxing holiday. I hide nothing in the advert, its states that the pool is small and that it is unheated from mid july to mid oct yet i still get comments complaining that the pool is unheated during this period, i also recommend a car on the advert, i agree, its only a 5min drive into town and the main beaches but i would not walk it myself, i get the bus in sometimes and taxi home, so easy. Hope you used the BBQ during your stay its Fab, ha ... i will be over at the end of the month so if you can think of anything that may need sorting out, please just let me know..

We stayed in Casa Jamaco for 5 weeks in june 23 till end of july 2012.

We found it absolutely great place to have relaxing holiday. Villa had everything you could need for selfcatering holiday. Location is perfect, it is away from crowds and noise still close enough everything you need.

Villa had all you could ever need . It is a real "home away home". It was clean and well decorated. Definntely will recomend to friends and will be back for another holiday.


Kids loved the pool. Pool was well maintained and clean. Kids are talking every day about coming back for next holiday at casa Jamaco!

Peaceful retreat

Stayed in Casa Jamaco for 2 weeks in Nov / Dec. The villa is neat, tidy and well furnished. The living room is spacious and comfy, the kitchen is well equipped for all your cooking requirements and the bedrooms are fine. Indoors the casa feels larger than it is.
Outside we made good use of the sunbeds particularly when the wind blew us off the beach and back to the peace and quiet of the back garden. The pool is small but that is made clear and it was fine for us to dip in and out of. The bbq was good and the washing machine meant we could downsize the packing.
The area is quiet - there is a mini-mart 100 yards away and a short walk away there is a a bar and a cafe.
We tended to go into Corralejo during the evenings where you can find whatever you wish for - noisy, quiet, good fod, fast food etc etc.
You can drive in in 5 minutes and parking is easy or take the bus for a euro or so and then get a taxi home (approx. 7 euros).
All in all an enjoyable base to explore the island and enjoy some sun.

ODD VILLA

We have had a very nice time on Fuerteventura, however we were very disappointed about the quality of the villa. The luxury which was promised was poor and far below our expectations.
For the rental charges there are much better alternatives, last year we hired an apartment in the same period with all possible facilities at the rate of 125,- euro per week!
First the location. Far away from Corralejo, at least 7 KM from the centre. Also the beach is too far away.A car is a must! Cappelania has nothing interesting to offer, thanks heaven there was a supermarket.
The villa has no atmosphere; bedrooms smell musty and are humid. We had to sleep in the twin beds, however they are very short.
The bathroom was not clean and with mould in the seams. The shower needs cleaning or replacing.
Kitchen was not complete and kitchen gear was out of date. Cooking pans with worn out Teflon coating, other pans with crooked bottoms, blunt knifes. Only two cups were available.
Swimming pool was very small, sort of oversized bath tub, not looking as on your website, however clean but impossible to swim in because of the size.
The wooden planking is dangerous to walk on with bar feet, because of splintering.
The paint on the walls behind the pool are peeling off and look very shabby, most of the plants are death.
Only two outside plastic chairs can be used, others are broken.
Finally the washing machine was badly leaking. The rubber seal at the front door needs replacement. No users manual to find.
It goes without saying that we will not recommend the villa to others and we would advise Gary to take serious steps to improve on quality or reduce rental rates considerably.

I find your claims totaly false and very harmful, you are those sort of clients that will never be happy and look as hard as you can to find a fault, then blow it up 20 times and make it sound worse, as i have said before, we cant please everyone. First of all i would like to point out that this client did not do the home work before they rented the villa, we advertise that a car is recomended, we advertise that the pool is small but i guarantee that the words bath tub is well out reach, the pool is small and perfect for cooling off and having fun, KIDS love it and so do i, nothing better than jumping in when yopu are roasting hot and need to cool down, and yes all, you can jump in. Next the location, it is infact 3 K from the centre of town, 4 minutes in a car to the centre of the main street and also to the beaches, i have timed it on many occasions and checked on google, this is very clear in the location description, the area is calm with a pub, cafe and supermarket we say this in the advert also, to me villa holidays are for relaxing, using the garden and being away from it all, 4 mins travel and you have it all... my last five clients leading upto this very hard to please client, commented that they had a fab time, loved the house, loved the pool and were just close enough to the main town to go when they wanted to, a bus goes into town every half past the hour and takes five minutes, very very fast for the 7K you say you had to travel lol. so funny. The decking is very nice to walk on, splinters my A--, if you are missing a few cups its because the last people before you broke them and didnt report it, very sorry about this but now i know. The back wall in the garden does need a paint and is going to be tiled next march., but i am sure you dont go on holiday to look at the wall. The master bedroom was fully redecorated in Aug so try and open some windows next time you rent a villa, they can get stuffy without ventilation as its a very hot country...

All in all i am very happy with the house and i guess 9 out of ten clients are also happy with the house so that does me. Wish i knew where the Apartment was with heated pool and its own garden for 125 euro per week, i would use it myself.

Ups, one more, of course i dont replace the pans everytime a client rents the house but i will have a look at them in Feb when i am over, thank you.

we really liked the viall, i booked the villa for 15th june in jan and gary was a great help!

Gary would always answer a call or a text if it were late at night and really made us at ease with knowing everything would be OK

directions to the villa was spot on and we drove straight there with no problems

as for the villa well, it was spot on we were a family of four with two children aged five and seven and the villa was perfect for us, the pool was brilliant and the kids loved it,

if i were to mention anything that was in need of repair and to be honest did not boither us in the slightest was the paint on the garden wll had flaked off in places and looked a little shabby but im sure a bit of PVA and some paint would fix this VERY MINOR issue!

we loved it that much we have already decided to go back there again but for longer , the villa is situated in a very quiet area and it looks as though the recesion stopped some of te shops there from taking off , but there is a perfect supermarket at arms length and a lovely bar which sells some really nice food and opposite this bar there is also shooter which seemed very friendly even though we did not go there!

honestly if i thought this villa was not nice i would say but everything was perfect from dealing with gary to the management team whilst out there to the condition and location of the villa with some beautifull beaches

anyway thanks gary you have a lovely place and we will return again for sure, also i must say i broke a small drinking glass so i can pay you for that or buy one on our return
