Brief Description: This six bedroom lodge has a wooded, lakefront location at Georgetown Lake, outside of Anaconda, Montana. The home has a great layout with three living areas, perfect for larger groups to spread out and relax. There are huge decks off the house, and a boathouse with another deck down by the lake which leads out to a floating dock.
Views: The lodge is on two acres, surrounded by pine trees, with winding paths down to the lake. Across the lake are spectacular views of the Pintlar Range and Wilderness Area.
Style and decor: The home is furnished in a comfortable, western style with leather sofas, lovely log frame beds and two river rock gas fireplaces.
Size: The house is 3,500 square feet spread out over two levels, plus a loft area.
Bedrooms and baths: There are six bedrooms in the home, including the loft sleeping area and four full bathrooms. The two master bedrooms are on the main level - one has a king size bed and the other has a queen size bed - with sliding glass doors out to the deck. There is a shared bath between the two master bedrooms. On the lower level of the home are three more bedrooms, two have queen size beds and the third has a bunk bed. There is one bathroom with a stall shower that is shared between these three bedrooms. There is a sixth sleeping area in the loft of the home, which has a king size bed, plus a queen size futon bed with a full bath off the loft area.
Kitchen and dining area: This kitchen is great for hanging out with the cook. A huge island counter with lots of barstool seating serves as the prep area, cocktail bar and dining area as well! The kitchen has a smooth top electric range and oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the necessary cookware and serving ware. There is a covered deck off the kitchen for outdoor grilling.
Living room, family room and game room: The cozy living room has comfy leather couches and a grand river rock fireplace for some evening story telling about the day's adventures. A wall of windows provides gorgeous views to the lake. Glass doors lead out to the spacious deck overlooking the lake. The family room is located downstairs and has a surround sound television system with VCR and a huge collection of videos. There is a gas river rock fireplace for heat and atmosphere. The game room, also located downstairs, has a television, foosball table, air hockey table and a deluxe card table with blackjack and roulette! There is also a shuffleboard table out in the area adjoining the family room.
Outdoor amenities: There are lots of deck areas off the house and down by the lake, with lawn furniture for relaxing and taking in the views. The sandy beach and floating dock are within sight of the house, so a watchful eye can be kept on the kids if needed. A couple of picnic tables, a fire pit, and a grill for outdoor meals completes the picture.
Services available: The rental rate includes a weekly cleaning. Additional housekeeping as well as catering, and grocery shopping can be arranged with a bit of prior notice.
Activities nearby: Fishing, boating and swimming at Georgetown Lake, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, skiing, and ghost towns are all nearby. For water recreation, there are canoe, jet ski and fishing boat rentals nearby and the fishing on the lake can bring in rainbow trout, brook trout and Kokanee salmon. There is so much to do!
Distance to town and airport: There are several small restaurants and bars nearby on Georgetown Lake, where you can get a quick meal. The small town of Phillipsburg is fifteen minutes away, where you will find grocery stores, antique stores and even a summer theater. Anaconda is also nearby if you want to go out for dinner while you are here. The closest airport is in Butte, about an hour east of the lake.
Other details: There is no telephone at the home, but cell phone service typically works fine. No smoking is allowed in the home. No pets are allowed on the property or in the home. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer. All Mountain Home properties have fully equipped kitchens, and include good quality kitchen, bath and bed linens, and staples like paper goods, laundry, dish and hand soaps.
