Golf:
La Manga Club has been voted Europe’s top resort for golfing holidays three times in the last five years. It is not surprising therefore that the golf courses are of exceptional quality.
La Manga Club’s newly refurbished South Course is one of Europe’s most challenging and prestigious courses. Located in the centre of the resort, with wide palm-fringed fairways and water hazards that come into play on 15 out of the 18 holes, the South Course is La Manga Club’s classic championship course.
Somewhat shorter and more undulating than the South, with tighter fairways and larger greens, the North Course offers a different, yet no less challenging, round of golf.
The North Course is 6400 yards from the back tees with a par of 71 and a standard scratch of 69 (from the yellow tees). Relying on precision rather than length, an added challenge is provided by the wide variety of water hazards and barrancas that snake their way through the course.
If you are on your own or with friends then you may wish to join the competitions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There is a pitch and putt course known as the Par 47, which is great for practise or a quick round
