I came to Boston for research with a collogue and my daughter. We first wanted an apartment for the kitchen that would save us money on eating out, we ended up loving it for far more reasons than that. First, it was cheaper than a single hotel room would have been, we had separate bedrooms, the owners were very helpful, and the kitchen was great. We were right in the North end, around the corner from the Old North church and right on the Freedom trail. Mike's Pastry's was right down the road and there was a variety of excellent restaurants within minutes. We were there during the freak-winter storm series--not the best time to visit Boston for the first time--but the metro was easy to use (get a 7 day Charlie Ticket) the people were friendly and our location couldn't have been better. If I were to return I would definitely stay here again. I think more than 4 people would feel pretty cramped, the kitchen didn't have a huge selection of pots, pans, and utensils, but it was sufficient. Excellent apartment.
We had a great experience at this apartment located in the heart of Boston's North End. The location couldn't be better, within easy walk of many great restaurants and bakeries. The apartment is very clean and accommodated 5 adults easily, with very comfortable beds, ample towels and reliable Wi-Fi. The best part was the management. We suffered a medical emergency during our stay and the management was so responsive, helping us find a wheelchair the day before Christmas and working with us to extend our stay at the last minute. I highly recommend this rental and will definitely stay here again when I am in Boston.
We arrived late at night to a clean, welcoming apartment already set up for the three of us. We made good use of the kitchen, having breakfast and supper "at home." We did not have a car, so walked every day through the fascinating North End neighborhoods to the subway, and on the way home, stopped to buy supper and breakfast items. Our apartment had a nice TV, phone, and offered access to the internet.
Clean, comfortable, and wonderfully quiet, in one of the oldest parts of Boston; what more could we ask? A limo outside the door to whisk us away to each day's destination? Yes, but we were glad to have the affordable price, and do the walking ourselves.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would want that very unit if we come to Boston again.
You can't beat this location -- walking distance to everything, many wonderful restaurants nearby, right off the Freedom Trail. We stayed in a two bedroom unit with a family of four, kids ages 11 and 12. Way better than a hotel room would have been in terms of space. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator. The air conditioning is a window unit but they have some fans to help get the cool air into the bedrooms, which worked just fine (and we were there is hot July)!
The only downsides were parking -- no street parking, so you have to use a lot and its about $30 per day. Also, no laundry on-site meant we had to find a laundromat.
Overall we would stay here again as the location made it perfect!
We stayed here because of the close proximity to the USCG Base, which is 2 blocks away. We came to visit our son. Much nicer and cheaper than staying in a hotel. We highly recommend this place.
This was my first experience using vrbo and I have to say that this property exactly met all my group(7 people) expectations. It has the best location in Boston if you're looking to explore the city and has the best food places around as well. The management is very nice and were excellent in communicating with me and making sure everything was alright. The rates were reasonable too and we actually saved money by living here because of lower rentals than hotels and a kitchen. Don't expect a fancy apartment, it meets all basic requirements and has 3 beds, 1 bath and kitchen. But it was perfect for us college students looking for a week getaway to Boston!
