Mike Shirley purchased this house in 2008
We had an amazing time at this gorgeous location! The views are breathtaking and the backyard is the perfect place to enjoy them. We enjoyed all our meals outside because the weather was ideal and there's plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax and play. Mike has this place set up as the ultimate "party house" with Jacuzzi, a huge pool, fire pit, corn hole, putting green, pool table, outside tv/stereo - there really wasn't anything missing! And we all fell in love with his sweet dog Robin who is the most chill dog I've ever met. All of us were raving all weekend about how we really scored on this rental and how we'd LOVE to stay here again! Thanks for everything Mike!
This property is just amazing. Perched high on a hillside and very close to many wineries, this home has just about every amenity you can think of to have a great time. It was a relaxing, quiet place to spend my vacation. The owner is friendly and easy to work with. Oh, and hi-speed WiFi at the house saved my butt!
**HIGHLY RECOMMENDED** I rented Mike's property for a girl's weekend getaway and we cannot wait to come back! The house is located on a lovely spread of land with killer 360 views, the interior is extremely spacious as well - everything with the house is updated, very clean and well maintained. The house is secluded enough for a Southern California native to feel like you're on destination vacation, but still conveniently close to wine country, grocery stores, etc. We used Katherine of West Coast Transportation for a limo wine tour, they were great too! Our group's favorite wineries of the weekend were Ponte and Doffo (try the secret family recipe chimichurri). We spent our evenings at the house playing games, swimming...maybe a little drinking. Mike was so easy and friendly to work with, met up with me at check in to show me around and deposit check was sent back the very next week. I have already recommended him to a coworker and my group is planning to come back again next year. Very highly recommend this place!!!
Stayed here with a group of friends for my birthday weekend and I could not be happier with the accommodations! Mike the landlord is very friendly, helpful and really has his sh** together. You can tell he's been doing this for a while. I must say, the pictures don't really do the place justice, it's much nicer and newer looking in person than I was anticipating. And the views are incredible, especially over the canyon at sunset. Mike also typically leaves his dog Robin on the property when he leaves, which isn't a requirement, but I recommend allowing it because she's a real sweetheart and a good companion for the weekend. Also, the place is well equipped with things to do. There's a hot tub, pool, putting green, pool table, a great fire pit for evening marshmallow roasting, cornhole, and plenty of outdoor seating if you just want to relax and enjoy the views. The place is also very quiet, as the neighboring houses are spread out. The place is also very close to the Temecula wineries, so it makes the wine tasting experience very convenient! One more word of advice, if you plan on having a bus take you around to various wineries, go with Tipsy Tours, they were awesome, friendly, and even came back to pick us up from old town to take us home hours after the tour was over for a small price. Tell Mark and Jessa that Brian, the guy with the wine cork tiara sent you!! But def stay at this place, you won't regret it!
We stayed here in April 2014. Spacious with beautiful views, especially at sunset and having morning coffee ouside. We enjoyed the pool and putting green during the day. At night we bbq'd and then built a fire in the pit area. Some of us enjoyed the fire while others used the hot tub under the stars. We were able to watch sports on the outside patio TV and also listen to music. The house is close to shopping, golf and the wineries. All 7 of us would stay again and recommend this house to our friends and family!
