Photos and Description of the Indre-et-Loire vacation chateau / country house rental Salon 60m², old fireplace, 2 bedrooms, 4 people, large garden.

Our property is located in the Valley of Loire and Indre, south of Tours. It is located between Rigny-Ussé, Azay-le-Rideau, Langeais and Villandry castles in a small hamlet of 3 houses in the middle of meadows and fields on the edge of the Foret de Chinon. The entire valley is a World Heritage Site. The property around the house is about 3.600m². The property consists of 2 houses: one is historic and another is new. The historic old construction, which was inhabited during the 18th century by the poet Beaumarchais, is a single salon, about 60m², with old stone walls and beam ceilings. The new house has two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen (gas stove, dishwasher, etc.), a bathroom and a separate WC. The entire ensemble is centrally heated. Both buildings are connected by a winter garden made of glass and wood. Altogether, there is 135m² of living space. To Rivarennes it is 1.5km, 500m to Indre, 3km to Loire.

Nearest Airport: Tours at 30 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Rivarennes at 2 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Villandry at 11 Kilometres
Car: recommended
The closest castle is Rigny-Ussé, the "Dornröschen Castle"; nearly just as close is Azay-le-Rideau, which - other than Chenonceau (about 60km) and Chambord (80km) - is one of the most beautiful Loire castles. On the other side of Loire you will find Langeais with its old castle, not far from Rochecotte, the castle of the duchess of Dino. Somewhat further north you will find Villandy, whose castle park is unique and famous thanks to its vegetable park. The abbey of Fontevraud is about 30km away (burial place of Eleonore of Aquitaine and Richard Löwenherz). Saché, the "writer's castle" of Balzac, is located a few kilometres behind Azay-le-Rideau with its time-honoured 1 star restaurant (La douzieme siecle), also known as the place where the famous American Alexander Calder lived. Finally, Huismes - where Max Ernst lived for over 10 years - is about 8km away.

Herbstferien 2008 so wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben: Ländliche Umgebung mit viel Kultur, ein schönes Anwesen, der regionale Markt zum einkaufen, kochen in der super ausgestatteten Küche, schlafen in bequemen Betten, Essen im großzügigien Salon bei prasselndem Kaminfeuer oder im Sternelokal " le douzieme siecle" in Sache zu angemessenen Preisen.Radfahren, Kanufahren, wandern, rundum gelungene Ferien und Vermieter, die bei Problemen jederzeit erreichbar und sehr freundlich sind.
