Relax with a good book in front of the large picture windows or watch your favorite movie on the 55' Smart HDTV or browse the internet. The fully equipped full kitchen has beautiful granite countertops and all new energy-efficient appliances.
This loft is located upstairs over the owner's Crystal Glass Studio and is furnished with custom doors, chandeliers, sconces and a beautiful etched glass shower enclosure in the Master Bath. The master suite has a California king bed and large walk in closet. At the other end of the hall, set up your home office or take care of business at the room desk in the guest bedroom.
You can relax with cocktails on the large private deck and listen to concerts in the park, or bask in the sun on a warm day. Just 1/2 block from Main Street coffee shops, art galleries, massage and yoga studios, great restaurants, bars and Sopris Park - home of the Carbondale Mountain Fair and CCAH Concerts In The Park series. No need for a car, walk to everything in town or catch a bus 1 block away.
For being such a small town, Carbondale has made a big name for itself besides being close to Aspen (and all the amenities it has to offer) and Glenwood Hot Springs Pool (world's largest pool and spa). Besides the art galleries, many local artists have open studio to visit. And of course, excellent skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, and all the Colorado mountains has to offer.
I have stayed at the Artists Loft in Carbondale CO 2 times now while attending a yoga conference and I have to say it is one real nice place. It is spacious with a glorious kitchen that has everything! The decor is tasteful and calming. Both bedrooms are awesome and the shower off the room with the two single beds is luxurious! So convenient to have laundry right there and the deck is huge even though I never had time to sit and enjoy out there. So close to main street, coffee shops great restaurants and a yoga studio. Going to be in Carbondale again in 2016 and will be staying here again, as long as it is available.
This apartment is better than a 4 star hotel: it is close to coffee, park, grocery store, liquor store, great restaurants… It is beautifully decorated, clean and extremely well stocked. Great patio. The owners are very nice and helpful. We have stayed at a number of VRBO properties and this is the best one yet!
WOW!!What a great week my fiance and I spent in Carbondale in October 2014. Seasons were changing as well as the Aspen trees. The colors were brilliant but what made the trip so special was the spacious, comfortable and overall relaxing atmosphere the loft provided. After traveling by car from San Francisco, it was a pleasure to arrive at this luxurious inviting loft located in the quaint, fun city of Carbondale. You can see all of Carbondale's downtown community by walking to good restaurants, unusual parks, yoga studios, and clubs. The beauty and design of this loft leaves no doubt it is truly a treasure in the heart of Carbondale, 15 miles to Aspen as well as mountain hiking trails or a drive to Snowmass. John And Mary, our attentive hosts, really take pride in their loft as you see from the attractiveness their glass art, super kitchen and amenities the apartment provided. WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!!
I was the first guest to ever stay in the Artist's Loft, just after it was newly constructed in December of 2013, and I have returned at least a half dozen times, most recently in February, 2015. That should tell you everything! I keep returning because the loft itself is exquisite, and the owners are easy going, attentive, and such a pleasure that I now consider them friends. As artists, Mary and John take pride in creating a sense of place, and it shows in their attention to both detail and luxury. The loft has all new, modern amenities: everything you could possibly need, the luxury of a 5-star hotel, but the feel of a private mountain home. The location is perfect...walk to all the restaurants, galleries, shops, yoga studios, rec center in Carbondale, and an easy drive to mountain trails, slopes, rivers, hot springs, etc. You will not find a nicer place in Carbondale, or more friendly, accommodating hosts.
Mary and John are excellent. The pictures don't make the place justice. It is 100 times nicer and brighter. John carves glass at the studio downstairs and you can enjoy a wide sampling of his work in this studio. Great decor too. Plus the kitchen has everything you can think of, so you'll find yourself ready to cook or prepare your food.
We had been to many of the properties around Carbondale and this is by far the most exquisite. It is a beautiful space -- new, sleek, beautiful glass, comfortable, new. We so enjoyed our stay! Mary and John are so easy to work with. You will love your stay if you come!
Carbondale is between Glenwood Springs, which has the largest hot springs pool in the U.S., and Aspen Colorado for world class skiing and summer hiking and mountain biking. Carbondale itself has a fabulous cross-country ski area, mountain biking trails, and fly-fishing just minutes away.
