In the northern part of Lake Garda, near the city of Riva, you will find the impressive horseshoe-form property in a landmark park from the 17th century: 'Villa Angelica'. The property is unique, it offers six different large residential options. ***Garden of Eden object.

About 30 m2, ideal for 2 people, Rafael and Tristan are the two older sons from Signora Angelica. In the current 2 room apartments, the Maggiordomo or janitor monitored what was going on in the house and courtyard. The charming units consist each of a bedroom and living room with integrated kitchenette. Both bathrooms received decorations in Trompe l'oil-painting as a personal note. The apartments are located on the ground floor and have two autonomous entrances. However, they can be connected by opening a door between the corridors.

The 5000 m2 park in Italian style with its 5 fountains is unique. The late-Baroque fountain monument is attractive - Franz Kafka and other guests have enjoyed their stay in Riva on its steps. The property is in a peaceful location, about 900 m from the lake and the old city and has its own parking space.

Beautifully presented little apartment (don't bring too much). The villa is about 20 minutes walk from the old centre of Riva, surrounded on 2 sides by beautifully kept gardens (with fountains, statues and topiary even). There are a few lovely spots in the garden for food or drinks. The only noise is from other guests (occasionally passing your door) and from falling water, either from the fountains or cascades next door.

No problems with the host, parking, finding food and so on. Kitchen is small but well equipt minus cooker or microwave. There's a little TV with 2 english channels - BBC and Aljazeera news. Always had hot water...

so no complaints. Particularly recommend as intimate holiday.

Buy a plug-in mozzy repellant.
