This is one of 4 corner units at Maalaea Yacht Marina, located on the second floor. Big windows wrap the corner so the view is stunning even from the kitchen. You can easily host dinner for six at the large lanai table and enjoy the spectacular sunset skies. Custom kitchen with beautiful cabinets is well equipped with all necessities. Large master bedroom with sliding glass door leading into the lanai offers a full view of the water. The comfy king-sized bed has upgraded linens and lots of closet space. Separate vanity with large, tiled walk-in shower gives the feeling you're in a home and not a cramped hotel room. Many upgrades throughout, including broadband and cable TV.

Maalaea is a great, central 'jumping-off' point to most points of interest on Maui. The airport is 15 minutes away, and you can reach Lahaina and the North Shore in a half hour. Kihei and Wailea are 20 minutes to the south, with 4 great golf courses located 5 miles or less.
Yes, there is wind in Maalaea, but you are sheltered on the lanai and can enjoy the views all day. We will gladly trade the traffic and congestion in the larger towns for the quiet residential feel in Maalaea.
There are four excellent restaurants within a short walk. The Maalaea General Store offers many wonderful convenience/grocery items and the Tradewinds deli is a great place to pick up sandwiches and chat with the friendly owners.
There is a small beach inside the breakwater, but you can walk to the end of Hau'oli Road to the four mile beach (it's about 1/2 mile and there is parking should you choose to drive). The beach is great for walking, swimming, and snorkeling (be sure to bring the snorkel gear, beach towels and boogie boards that are located in the closet!) But if you prefer, you can watch surfers challenging the Freight Train, a shore break wave known for it's speed and intensity, from your comfortable lanai seat. You might even see the resident Monk Seal (named Humpy) or the two eagle rays (named Spot and Ray).
Enjoy the famous Beach Bums, Porto's Pizza and Seascape Restaurant. Also at the village shops are the Maui Ocean Center (voted Maui's most popular attraction), Pacific Whale Foundation, Maui Dive Shop, ice cream and gourmet coffee. Carl's Junior is at the highway intersection, and there are miniature golf and bumper boats. You can catch the Maui Bus at the sidewalk below the Ocean Center if you'd rather not drive to Lahaina, Kaahumanu Mall, Wailea, Paia, etc. The routes can change, I try to keep updates in the condo, but there are up to date schedules posted in the Village and on-line.
We purchased the condo in December 2013. Previous owner rented out this unit through vrbo for several years with many positive reviews.
Owning an oceanfront condo has been a dream come true for us and we are thrilled with the idea of using it primarily as a vacation rental while visiting occasionally with our own family and friends. We treat the condo with love and make it a priority to always have it in the best possible condition.

We are recently retired and now have the time to enjoy the things we love -- traveling, photography and visiting friends and family. After visiting our kids on Maui for over 9 years, we had an opportunity to buy this condo, fulfilling a life-long dream. We are thrilled to be able to offer it to others to enjoy, but we'll equally happy to occasionally use it with our own friends and family.

We fell in love with the condo as soon as we first saw it. The ocean views are amazing throughout the living area, kitchen and even from the master bedroom. The overall feeling we got was cozy, comfortable and relaxing.
This is a rare corner unit with a wrap-around lanai that allows for interesting views of the ocean as well as the harbor and all its activities. It has the perfect balance of relaxation and excitement and you can have a wonderful time just lounging on the lanai. Beautiful sunrises and sunset skies are really breathtaking. The condo is walking distance to beaches, the harbor, restaurants, shops and all kinds of interesting places to explore.
We have been coming to Maui for years & this condo out of the 3 we have stayed at in the past has everything. Great location with views you never get bored at seeing. The owners have got everything right as if it was a full time home. We were thinking of buying here some day but may have found our long term re peat rental right here.
Although we have stayed only briefly in the condo, we enjoyed the incredible view.
All necessary appliances are available. The unit was clean (except for the 2 inch spider in the kitchen sink :-)). The only comment we have is the noisy airco unit when you sit on the lanai. The airco has a off switch so it's not really a problem. The condo is easy accessible and only 15-20 min away from Kihului. If and when we return to Maui we'll go back to this condo for sure.
My family and I had the most wonderful time at this condo! Great views all day, every day. the kitchen was better equipped than my own, and all the attention to details such as beautiful linens and great movies spoiled us. We had all the beach gear we needed (even aloe for our sunburns) which meant easy trips to the beach. Best value too, and owners are super to work with. Highly recommended!
MY husband and I, along with my daughter and her baby rented this unit for a week. The condo was clean and contain all the items needed for a comfortable stay. The grounds were well tended.
I was very disappointed though that the master bedroom off the main living area was only separated by a panel of hanging louvered doors that came no where near touching the floor. In addition the air conditioner was located in the living area, so the doors had to be opened if you wanted to feel any effect. This meant if that my daughter was up with the baby so were we. This condo is only suited for a couple, or a family with small children, since there is no real sense of privacy
in the master bedroom.
The little harbor community was quite nice, and Maalaea was a convenient location for accesses other areas of Maui.
My husband and I have stayed at this condo 4 times in the last 5 years, and have already booked a trip for 2015. For us it is a quiet retreat, but we also love the location for sightseeing & shopping, because it is centrally located for a short drive almost anywhere. Fantastic oceanfront views, and wonderful sunrises over Haleakala. Views of the islands of Molokini and Kahoolawe from the lanai. The grounds are nicely landscaped with flowering trees/bushes/plants. You can spot whales by eye from the lanai during whale season. The unit is always spotless and has everything you need in the kitchen. The large bed in the master BR is quite comfortable. The view from the corner 2nd floor lanai is wonderful. The Harbor Shops are a very short walk and have a wide range of places to eat: Beach Bums (our favorite), Porto's Pizza, Hula Cookies & Ice Cream, & a fine Italian restaurant. Buzz's Wharf restaurant and the Maui Ocean Center are also in easy walking distance. We find that breakfast on the lanai can last all morning, because it is such a pleasure to sit and watch the activity in harbor, the changes on the slopes of Haleakala, or Sally the monk seal (who sometimes comes inside the breakwater). The Tradewinds Deli is right next door -- friendly people and nice selection of local meat and produce. A Craft Market is held almost daily at the Harbor Shops -- definitely worth a visit. Boats leave the harbor daily for snorkeling, whale & dolphin watching. We have rarely needed to use the air conditioning because of the ocean breezes and the ceiling fans. There's a small sandy beach inside the harbor breakwater where you can find shells & sea glass. Gently sloping bottom, so it's easy wading. Enjoy!
As VRBO/Homeaway property owners, we've found that the first four things our guests are concerned with are Cleanliness, Comfort, Convenience, and Cost. On that basis, this condo earns the 5 stars we're giving it. Taking them in order -
1) Cleanliness: we're fastidious in cleaning at our property and we expect that wherever we stay - these folks delivered.
2) Comfort: We walked in and felt immediately at ease. In our correspondence with the owners they've indicated that they plan significant upgrades on the furnishings in the near future. We had no problems with what we lived with. The furniture was lived in but still wonderfully relaxing and comfortable.
3) Convenience: In the immediate vicinity there are several good and better restaurants and shops. In terms of the island, Ma'alea is the best location for exploring the whole island. Napili/Ka'anapali are about as far away (travel time) as Paia. Kihei/Wailea and Wailuku same thing. Hana and Haleakala are another story, but you're still closer than you would be at any of the western destinations.
4) Cost: The cost was absolutely in line with the property, and was actually on the lower end of the range I found in researching where we were going to stay. The cost was not only reasonable, but we left a night earlier than we paid for and are still comfortable with our costs.
Added notes- The owners could not have been more cooperative and friendly. The view from the lanai is lovely and, in whale season, downright spectacular. The parking place is one of the few shaded spaces in the lot which was much appreciated.
