Been to Gavs many times and have stayed an plenty of great places, but this is my favorite of all! Big place, plenty of room and privacy if you have a few couples, insane view from the huge patio. Well appointed all around. Love this place and wish I could get down more often!!!
We spent an amazing month in this home in Las Gaviotas. After getting to know the neighborhood, I can't imagine choosing a better spot to stay. Great ocean views from top level, perfect to wake up to each morning. The owner is very easy going and responsive-- he even installed Wifi into the home for us! I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a good spot in Gaviotas.
My husband and I started coming to Las Gaviotas when we first met 5 years ago and stayed at this house and have returned at least 20 times since then. Enough said!
There were 8 of us UCLA graduate students staying at the house and we had a great time! Everyone had a relatively comfortable place to sleep and we enjoyed making meals together. The two patios overlooking the ocean were also nice for hanging out on and having drinks.
We spent most of our time at the pool/hot tub and the beach at Las Gaviotas, but one day we did go to Puerto Nuevo for lobster and then Rosarito to wander around. If you have the time, I would recommend venturing out of Gaviotas to get a taste of "real Mexico."
I would definitely go back to this house and would recommend it to others.
First of all, we had a great time! We rented the house along with another couple and their two daughters. So the total was 4 adults and 3 pre-teen children. Plenty of room for all of us. I was the only one who had stayed at Las Gaviotas in the past. I had stayed at 2 different properties, but over 10 years ago. It was nicer than what I remembered.
We arrived Wednesday morning and left Saturday morning. We enjoyed the large and clean pool the three days we were there. We took our ice chest out there and enjoyed some cold adult beverages. The beach was also nice. It is very clean and private. It is rocky once you go in the water, but a good pair of water shoes will easily solve that problem. We took meat from over here and barbecued two of the nights on the patio. The other night we went out for dinner. Puerto Nuevo is a few minutes down the road. We had to go eat the fried lobster we all had been craving for years, since our last visit south of the border.
The whole community is very clean and beautiful. You feel very safe there and everyone is very friendly. The description of house is accurate and owner is very easy to work with. I had lots of questions for him and he was always prompt in returning my e-mails. Had a great experience dealing with him. This is a great rental and definitely worth the price.
I, like most people, was hesitant to travel south of the border due to all the negative media, but our experience was positive. That Friday night there was a concert at the Rosarito beach and I was amazed at all the police pressence. They were very organized and made us all feel at ease. Can't wait to go back.
Remeber this when your taking a stroll in the property and listening to the waves crash against the bluffs, you will tell yourself or your wife or your significant other, "we should look into buying a house here." It is that nice!
Good to know that the Rosarito community is still a viable vacation option.
Ride Quads @ Cantamar dunes, Spa services minutes away @ Bobby's by the sea, dine at Splash, Ollie's brick oven pizza, Ruebens cantina.
