Fancy some countryside? We invite you to our semi-detached house for 13 people. Red brick work, rustic rough plaster & light floor tiles on 225 sqm create a modern country style. In the barrier-free ground floor there is the combined living/dining room (50 sqm) with kitchenette, large dining table & comfortable seating area in front of the central fireplace. Besides there is a bedroom with 2 single beds, two showers/WCs, sauna & large patio with access to terrace & garden. The 5 bedrooms in the first floor & attic floor are lovingly furnished with light solid wood furniture. The daylight bathroom is equipped with a shower, bathtub, WC, bidet & built-in washstand. There are chairs, loungers & parasols available on the terrace and in the garden. The non-smoker house provides a controlled ventilation, using of rainwater for the toilets, green covering of the roof & photovoltaic panels. Your children can look forward to Shetland ponies, goats, dogs & cats, the lawn play ground & a sand box

The cottage is located in the Waldauerbach neighbourhood (150 inhabitants) in the district of Mudau. Off the beaten track, it is situated in the middle of meadows & fields on an altitude of 530 m, ideal if you are looking for relaxation. Marked bicycle & hiking trails start in front of the house and invite you for a walk or even for tours through the forests of the UNESCO Geopark. In proximity there are numerous natural & cultural monuments like the Limes & forts from the Roman times. Castles, palaces & monasteries, pilgrimage basilica, sculpture park, stalactite cave. Picturesque villages with half-timbered houses and especially Heidelberg with its old town and the castle is worth a visit. The Odenwald open-air museum & the Museum of Technology in Sinsheim allow an insight into former times. Zoos and Burg Guttenberg, a research centre & animal haven for birds of prey, are impressive sights. You will find further suggestions & dates of events in an information folder in the house.

Wir waren zu viert in diesem Ferienhaus und haben die großzügige Wohnfläche und die hervorragende Ausstattung genossen. Insbesondere ist hervorzuheben, dass das Haus sehr sauber und die Inneneinrichtung in sehr gutem Zustand war, so dass wir uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Darüber hinaus war der Kontakt mit dem nebenan wohnenden Vermieter-Ehepaar sehr angenehm. Frau H.-Z. hat unsere Kinder gerne zur abendlichen Fütterung und Pflege der Ponies und Ziegen mitgenommen und die Kinder waren total begeistert.

Das Haus ist sehr groß und weitläufig, gut gefallen hat uns der Kicker im Anbau und die Sauna. Einziger Minuspunkt ist der Wasserdruck und das mangelnde Warmwasser in den 2 Bädern, die über die Solaranlage gehen. Geduscht haben wir dann eben im Sauna Bad, wo es einen Durchlauferhitzer gab. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig umgeben von Feldern und Wiesen. ( Wir waren leider dadurch sehr Heuschnupfen geplagt!)
Owner's Response: Unser Installateur kümmert sich um die Erhöhung des Wasserdrucks für noch mehr Komfort.
