Photos and Description of the Berlin-Mitte vacation apartment rental Beautiful guest room - almost at the very famous Museum Island

Our fancy guest room is located right in the middle of the historical center of Berlin - almost at the Museums Island, the government and theatre area, 'Unter den Linden' - 5 min away from the next S- and U-station Friedrichstraße and the Tram is directly around the corner. We recommend to explore the beauty of the city by ship as well, starting point is app. 200 m apart. The building used to belong to the old Berlin Palace. Here lived the medical attendant and chambermaids of the German Emperor. You can still discover a lot of amazing history. Our apartment is for everyone, who likes the idea of combining the great sprit of Berlin with a very special accommodation, like the idea of staying right in the cultural heart, dislike to spend to much money for it, travels a lot with other people or has a large family.

Located at the historical centre of Berlin, perfect for any cultural admirer. That’s where the cultural and political heart of the republic beats. Sights of the historical city that are worth seeing can be reached in walking distance. Some examples: The Pergamon Museum, Altes Museum (Old Museum), Alte Nationalgalerie (Old National Gallery), the Boulevard “Unter den Linden”, Humboldt University, Deutsche Guggenheim, Gendarmenmarkt, Brandenburger Tor (The Brandenburg Gate), Berliner Ensemble (Theater), Staatsoper Unter den Linden (German State Opera Unter den Linden), Friedrichstadtpalast, Tränenpalast (tears palace) and many more. For everything that is a little further away: You can use the Tram or airport shuttle bus; the station is around the corner, as well as the train station Friedrichstraße, which gives access to train, subway and city train in any direction.

Like the idea of staying right in the cultural heart dislike to spend to much money for it. From here you can easily reach by feed: Unter den Linden; Brandenburger Gate; Potsdamer Platz, Hackischer Markt...

Public Traffic:: Station Friedrichstrasse: to Potsdam and further directions, S+U Friedrichstrasse (etwa 200m), Tram Friedrichstraße: M2, 12.

although this is a large and nice apartment, I am giving a very poor rating. Among others:
- not clean (you may have to do the laundry for the previous tenants)
- poor heating/hot water (goes on and off)
- major construction on site for 2009
- owner not reliable and not willing to meet basic requests
