This colorful Rocky Mountain abode, cozy with lots of character, is the longtime home of a local artisan. The rooms are tastefully eclectic and Feng-Shui-ed to near perfection, making it an easy place to 'just be'. . . to unwind, and marvel at the awe-inspiring canyon vista.
Come to explore, reflect, rejuvenate, reboot. Unwind in the backyard’s sweetly adorned wood-fired sauna. Pick a good book from the house library, or stay a while and write your own!
The Red House’s three bedrooms are outfitted with one queen bed, one full-sized bed, and one single. The extra ‘Room with a View’—a curtained sleeping area off the living room—has a full-sized bed, which makes this getaway perfect for four singles, three couples, or a small family. Its 1500-square-feet is all on one level with hardwood floors throughout and the many comforts of home: a fully equipped country kitchen, dining room with bay window, full-sized washer and dryer, wireless internet, central heating, and a glass-windowed woodstove in the living room. Purposefully sans TV.

My name is Amy Sage. I opened the first vacation rental home in the Bitterroot Valley with my SweetSage Guest House 15 years ago. As a stay at home mom with three children I have gradually expanded my property management business to include a variety of vacation rentals while still being able to mostly be home with my family. I pride myself in providing private, clean, affordable accommodations with all of the comforts of home.
This home is close to town, convenient to services yet secluded with awe inspiring mountain vistas.
Close proximity to the Bitterroot River provides a sanctuary for songbirds and wildlife commonly seen through the picture windows. Steps away from the largest intact wilderness in the lower forty-eight. Minutes to the river or hiking, to a hot Latte or cold Microbrew.
I stayed at the Red House for 3 nights while competing in the annual Lake Como Tri. Value for money this is the best accommodations I have ever stayed in. The beds were extremely comfortable, the house was unique and felt like a home rather than just some where to sleep for a few nights. The Owner/Operator of this unit was very flexible with payments as well due to a new address that was not recognized by the system and not taking my credit card properly I had to get creative and they were very accommodating, holding the unit while I sorted out those details.
This unit is close to all hiking trails and fishing venues you could imagine and a short drive to Lake Como for the triathlon was a huge bonus instead of staying in Missoula.
I plan on being back hopefully to the red house and if not I would try any of the other properties near the area that are ran by this owner/operator as everything worked out great.
We stayed at the Red House for a wedding in Hamilton and it worked out wonderfully. It is close to town, but still has a country feel. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were all very well kept and comfortable.
Thanks for the hospitality! The fireplace was warm, the bed comfortable, and the location super convenient. We enjoyed spending time in Missoula, Hamilton, and taking full advantage of all of the powder at Lost Trail Ski Resort.
Jack, our dog, also enjoyed his stay.
Spending time at "Just Be" was fantastic! It really felt like a quaint little home off the beaten path a bit and allows you a lot of space to relax and kick up your feet. Large windows and open glass doors allow for a lot of natural sunlight, which lights the space up very well. Being that it's a couple of miles outside of the town, you really do get a serene feeling of having a space all to yourself.
The view is unlike anything else. Right outside the front is a wonderful mountain range that I could really stare at all day! This place is highly recommended.
I loved my stay at this Place. It is in a beautiful setting and the house is very artfully decorated, warm and cosy. I felt at home yet at a special well loved family get away. The landscapes and the views are breathtaking. This is a place where you don t want to leave. Very comfortable and clean.
