Photos and Description of the Diano San Pietro vacation house rental 5 persons. 3 bedrooms, 5 km away from the seaside

The house is 200 years old, approximately 90 qm, and has been built with thick old stone walls. It's located in a small and quiet village, near olive tree groves and has a beautiful seaview. It is recommended to all those who loves the charming of the typical Italian houses. The rustic house has been restored 2 years ago with much care and love , and many details of the 19 century have been maintained. At the ground floor there is a living room with an old chimney and a dining area. There is also a kitchen with a direct access to the garden, where it's possible to eat surrounded by lemmon trees and mediterranean herbs. On the first floor there is a bedroom (double bed), another bedroom (single bed), a bathroom, and a 10qm terrace. On the second floor there is a 30qm terrace and a bedroom (double bed) with a large window which gives a beautiful view at the surrounding. The village is about 5 km away from the seaside (2 km as the crow flies), 10 minutes by car.

The Italian Riviera offers the possibility to untertake many excursions: the medioeval village of Cervo, with its narrow and winding streets, Genua with its old town and acquarium, Loano and the Toirano caves, the old town of Albenga, the olive museum and cathedral in Porto Maurizio, Bussana Vecchia which is known as 'artists village', Molini di Triora, the 'witches village', good for climbing, walking and enjoying the area, the Villa Hanbury garden in Ventimiglia, Monaco, Montecarlo, flower and antique-fair markets in Nizza, etc.

Mit dem Häuschen kommt sofort italienisches Ferienfeeling auf. Toller Rundblick zum Meer, zu den Bergen und auf den schönen Ort Diano Castello. Das Haus bietet die ideale Ausgangslage für das tägliche Bad im Meer und zum Besuch der naheliegenden Städte.
Kritisch !!! Das Wohn- Esszimmer ist für die angegebenen 5 Personen etwas dürftig ausgestattet trübt aber nicht wesentlich den possitiven Gesamteindruck.

Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen.

Die Angaben im Online-Inserat waren soweit korrekt. Leider kam erst nach der Buchung die Wegbeschreibung zum Haus. Die Anfahrt war doch sehr abenteuerlich und die Parkmöglichkeiten etwas umständlich. Das Haus war sehr gepflegt und sauber, die Fotos im Inserat vermitteln den richtigen Eindruck. Traumhafte Aussicht und wunderschöne Räume und Terrassen. Lediglich die Außentreppe zum Dachzimmer war etwas wackelig. Die Vermieterin schickte mehrere nette e-mails mit genauen, aktuellen Angaben, Tipps und Hilfen. Aufgrund der Lage des Hauses benötigte man leider für alle Einkäufe und Unternehmungen ein Auto. Ich würde das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
Owner's Response: Es tut mir leid, dass die Anfahrt zu Casa Rossa als abenteuerlich empfunden wurde.
Die bergauf zum Ortsteil Colla mit dem Haus Casa Rossa fuehrende Serpentinenstrasse ist zwar kurvenreich, fuer italienische Verhaeltnisse aber ganz normal; man sollte sich allerdings tatsaechlich an die vorgegebene Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung von 30 km halten, um entgegenkommenden Autos auch in einer eventuell unuebersichtlichen Kurve ausweichen zu koennen.
Der Parkplatz liegt tatsaechlich 5 Geh-Minuten entfernt vom Haus am Rand des Dorfes; im Zentrum des kleinen Ortsteils gibt es nur wenige Parkplaetze in unmittelbarer Naehe der Hauser, da der urspruengliche Charakter des alten Dorfs noch sehr intakt erhalten geblieben ist. Man erreicht den Parkplatz auf einem sehr bequemen Fussweg, der am Ortsrand in einen wunderschoenen Wanderweg durch die Olivenhaine muendet.
Die Aussentreppe zum Dachzimmer habe ich inzwischen noch einmal geprueft, ich konnte keine wacklige Stufe feststellen.
