Ojochal de Osa Villa Rental Photos and Description
4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8
On the ocean side of the two bedroom main villa a beautiful infinity pool overlooks a butterfly garden, the valley and ocean below. There is a rancho with hammock and jungle and ocean views. Also, a back patio offers a shaded area for afternoon relaxing and bird watching. The self contained cabina offers two bedrooms and a shared bathroom. An outdoor kitchen (cabina) offers amazing ocean views and sits at the edge of the jungle. One hundred and ninety concrete steps lead to a river which drops off into a 200' waterfall. Fresh water shrimp can be caught here -- if you're quick with a net. The steps are through the jungle with passion flowers, buttress trees, and many of Costa Ricas coloured frogs along the way. Both dwellings are A/C equipped although the breeze at this elevation means the A/C is rarely required. This is a new property built in 2012 and beautifully landscaped with flowering shrubs and fruit trees. It is truly an amazing property.

We are retired Canadians, residents in the Kawartha Lakes area of Southern Ontario. We have always loved travelling and spending time with our four grown children and ten grandchildren. Recently three great-grandchildren have been added to the family. I have always loved orchids and owning this property allows me to indulge in this passion.
After visiting many areas of Costa Rica over a period of 12 years we finally found our property in the Cascada Sandalo development near the village of Tres Rios. We built and developed our home and property during 2012 and totally love it. The property boasts a mature mango tree and a spring fed river at the bottom of a ravine in the jungle that can be reached by 190 concrete steps. The river ends in a 200 foot waterfall.
A unique property.
The cooling breezes at the 1000 ft elevation of our home. The many waterfalls and rivers in the area. It is so cool to look down on the mists rising from the rivers in the valley below us. The toucans and aracaris visit twice daily and pizotes and monkeys often. Occasionally a sloth. We have also seen macaws, laughing falcons, and hawks from our patio. It is so... peaceful!
