The house is charming and newly remodeled. A 1920’s hacienda style with hardwood floors, Jerusalem stone, Spanish tiles and refurbished. All the appliances and interiors are brand new.
The house is on a quiet street and is very cozy with a lovely fireplace, fig tree and Italian courtyard patio with barbeque and large outside table, chaise and chairs for entertaining.
There is a full kitchen with granite counter tops, stove and dining table, washer and dryer and a full bathroom.
The house and bedrooms are beautifully furnished. The house is complete with books, dvds and sport equipment. The house is complete with linens, towels and all kitchen kools.
This would be great for a couple, single or small family vacationing or transitioning to Santa Barbara.
I work in the Film Industry so I travel frequently. I grew up in Santa Barbara and invite you to come visit my charming home. There is really no place like this, so spectacularly beautiful with so much to offer.
Rachel purchased this house in 2009
I fell in love with the house on my first visit. The neighborhood is unbelievably safe, charming and quiet but the proximity to the beaches, town center and wine country sealed the deal.
When I bought the property I updated all electrical, plumbing and remodeled and modernized all interiors, appliances and fixtures. It is a lovely home with a period feeling and modernized comforts.
This house suited three adult siblings perfect. We were there to visit a fourth siblings new birth and the house made the visit easy. The house was completely stocked with everything we needed to live for 8 days. Charming and comfortable.
We had a wonderful stay at your house while getting settled in our permanent home. Rachel, thanks so much for being so responsive and answering all our questions before and during our stay. The house was clean and is an ideal quiet location.
We stayed one week with our little daughter in this cute house. Was great to have breakfast in the little, sunny garden, we enjoyed the place and had a perfect beach wedding in Santa Barbara. The friendly owner is a great host, I can absolut recommend this place!
I stayed in the "Charming Spanish Bungalow" for a few days with several friends in August. The house is a few minutes drive from State street, the freeway and the beach! While booking I was nervous that the downtown and beach area would be too far away but it turned out to be very close! Upon arrival, there was someone to meet us, tour the house and answer all of our questions which was very helpful. Additionally, there was a thoughtful note and gift from the owner, making us feel at home instantly! The house is welcoming, comfortable and nicely decorated. The living room provides an excellent location to relax and converse with friends as well as enjoy the Apple TV service. All of the rooms were comfortable and we especially enjoyed the back bedroom with french doors to the patio; beautiful during the summer. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and cozy the patio is. There is a large outdoor dining table, lounge, water feature and romantic overhead lighting. We had brunches as well as dinners and lounging time on the patio. The house is well lit and with the windows open the breeze is wonderful. Not only was the owner incredibly helpful and nice, but very responsive to anything we needed as well. I would definitely stay again the next time I am in Santa Barbara!
Was very pleased with this charming home on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood yet close to all the services one needs. Photos accurately depict it. Beds were very comfortable. Yard was private, well landscaped and very quaint. Home was clean and well maintained. Would recommend this to friends. Owner was very helpful with any questions we had. Was traveling with my daughter and granddaughter so a perfect set up for us. We loved it!
This house and it's location are amazing. We greatly enjoyed our 2.5 month stay in Santa Barbara. The location provides fast access to the ocean, shopping opportunities, Hwy 101 for trips up and down the coast and is also only about 30 mins walking distance from downtown. The house and property were clean and very well-maintained and whenever we had questions, the owner was fast in answering our requests. Our favorite part of the house were the Italian courtyard patio and BBQ, we basically sat, worked, and ate outside every day. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
The house is central to everything in Santa Barbara. Conveniently lose to many outdoor activities, water sports, golf, biking and walking distance to the center of town and the beach and also the wine tasting rooms of the Santa Barbara Urban Wine Trail or an easy drive to wine country, Solvang and local mountains.
