Connemara as you want it to be!

  • 5 of 5

The front garden is a stone wall with the wild Atlantic lapping the shore. The cottage is spotless and has everything you could want or need. We stayed 2 weeks and found Carna to be a charming small village with nearby Clifden for a large grocery store, wonderful pubs and traditional music. Kylemore Abbey and the Victorian Garden are gorgeous and there are many walks among the stones, sheep and frisky lambs. Some of the best times are a cup of tea, Rionna's kindness and stories you will always remember. There is absolutely nothing better than the Irish welcome you find here!

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable, well-equipped accommodation in a wonderful, relaxing setting with the sea at the doorstep. The proximity to nature was perfect. The landlady gave us a very warm welcome, including a food hamper and a lot of practical, local information and advice to help us make the most of our holiday.

Vacances familiales en Irlande

  • 5 of 5

Vacances très sympas avec nos 2 loulous et mes beaux-parents. La maison est très bien équipée, propre et spacieuse. On s'y sent bien !

Wonderful!

A great holiday in a great place!

(01.01.2015-12.01.2015)

Air, ecology, nature - everything is wonderful.

You can bicycle and hike a lot.

Food is also great.

There are many places of interest.

The Irish are all very friendly and hospitable.

We call also recommend to rent a car.

Our friends and we (there were 4 of us) spent our holiday in a cottage called Dara - everything was perfect. You have everything you need in the cottage: fireplace, living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, fine bed linen, washing machine, drier, iron, hair drier, dishwasher and many other necessary things. There is also a small courtyard (only for guests of Dara), where you can spend time, barbecue or grill smth.

The owner is a wonderful, friendly, hospitable, well-brought-up, educated person. She was always ready to help. She made us feel at home. Thank you very much, Riona!

Peacefull and charming place on the Irish seaside

  • 5 of 5

We spend one week in the comfy Bru Na Mara house. We were 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids). The house is large and cozy. The place leads us to walk away in very beautifull countryside and seaside. Thanks to Riona's advise, we also visit places we'd probably miss otherwise. The coast is just amazing and we will keep in mind for a long time some really beautifull pictures of the irsih beauty.

Welcoming, calming, charming, beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Bru na Mara is just as as the information we found online. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and welcoming Having the fridge stocked with a few essentials was most helpful. Rionna is a wonderful host! The moment we mentioned that we are birders and interested in the local flowers, she handed us a folder with all the information we were hoping for. as well as maps, and the inside info all travelers love about the Connemara area. We had a magical visit on the Emerald Isle in large part, thanks to Rionna!!
