The house is nestled in the rolling hills of Puntas, Rincon. Less than a five minutes car ride to the beach, Rincon’s night scene, restaurants, and convenience stores. The property is located in a cul-de sac, in a quiet and upscale neighborhood. The house features marble floors, travertine bathrooms with tub and shower, and a fully equipped modern style kitchen with new stainless steel appliances as well as a fully equipped laundry room, A/C through out the entire house! Close proximity to all the action yet away enough to enjoy peace and quiet.
We love the ocean, the outdoors, and spending time with family. Although we currently live in the US mainland, we were born and raised in Rincon, Puerto Rico. We built this house in order to spend time with our children and keep our connection to the ocean, the Puerto Rican culture, and to give our children the opportunity to experience all the things we cherish from our beloved Rincon. We want to make sure that your experience is one that would last a lifetime!
Steven Robles purchased this house in 2013
You’ll know you’ve arrived in Rincón when you pass the group of sun-grizzled surfers cruising west in their rusty Volkswagen Beetles with surfboards piled on the roof. Located in the west corner of Puerto Rico, Rincón is at its most unguarded, a place where the sunsets shimmer scarlet and you’re more likely to be called “dude than “sir.” Rincón is the surfing capital of Puerto Rico, often called the “Hawaii of the Caribbean” and one of the premier places to catch a wave in the entire western hemisphere.
Though Rincón is crawling with American expats (many of them residents), the tourist/local divide is more seamless and less exclusive than in the resorts out east. Our house offers a unique blend between mainland mainstream and Puerto Rican flavor. Private, quiet, and secluded, our house offers the perfect combination between Rincón’s buzzing lifestyle and complete serenity.
"Everything went great!! Your home is fantastic and Rincon is an awesome place!! Only one thing, if you run the dryer while taking a shower the breaker would trip. So we only just only ran the dishwasher, took showers, or dried clothes independently. If it were on its own breaker I think the problem would be solved. Other than that, the house was set up great!! Comfortable beds, pillows, sofa, and dinning. We felt like kings. Kids loved the DVD and the HDTV. Just a really beautiful place. Gained weight on the local pastries and acai bowls :) Caught one shoulder high day and 3 yr old son surfed for first time tandem and caught a dozen or so long rides without ever falling. Sea turtles in the lineup, decent weather, you name it. Just an all in all epic trip!! Thanks for everything!! Blessings to you and your family for 2014!!"
From the Owner: Thank you Ray for staying at Surfers Cove and for your kind words. We are really glad you had a great time! We have send a contractor to take a look the breaker situation and we are happy to report that this is no longer an issue. Again thank you and we look forward to your next adventure in Rincon! Happy 2014!
Really enjoyed our stay in Rincon. This property was absolutely perfect. The location feels remote, but you're only a couple miles from all the best beaches. I recommend getting down to Steps Beach if you're a snorkeler. Beautiful tropical fish just a few feet off shore. We also took a surf lesson at Playa Maria (which is just at the bottom of the hill). The surf instructors were awesome.
I can't say enough nice things about this property. I'd love to go back!
Fantastic Home and a great location. Easy access to all the beautiful beaches. The owner and property manager are always available and were very helpful.
Beautiful Home perfect getaway for the weekend or vacation. The house is reminiscent of a nice airy lodge with lush hills and panoramic scenery. The host was very helpful and within always within a phones reach if we needed anything. If you have a GPS all the suggested points of interest are actually pretty simple to navigate to. Must check out the Tamboo Bar and restaurant and ask for the Coconut Mojitos! The Balneario, and Villa Cofresi are great places to surf or enjoy a nice day at the beach. I recommend you check out The Shipwreck Restuarant and ask for the Guava Ribs. Overall my stay at this area in Rincon was relaxing and exceeded all my expectations. Although Puerto Rico has many coordinates of tourism something must be said for the extremely hospitable demeanor of the Island residents and the peaceful atmosphere you will encounter at this particular part of the coast . I will definitely endeavor to return the next available opportunity I get.
Comfortable home close to the beach perfect for families with kids or a group of adults looking for some beach fun. The house has all amenities from home and more. I especially loved having a grill! The rental process was very easy and the owners/property manager were all friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely be coming back.
Family of 5 (Mom, Dad, and children aged 12, 9, and 7) stayed there in late August 2014. Loved the house and the location in Rincon. Pictures online are very accurate and complete.
House had all we needed for a weeklong stay. Used the kitchen as well as the grill, and when we went out to eat, did not have to go far as the restaurants in Rincon were all very good. Had breakfast at Das Alpen Cafe in town, lunch at La Papa at roadside spot on 115, lunch at Tamboo and at Kabana both on Sandy Beach, dinner at Red Flamboyan and at Villa Montana. All great selections.
Spend most days at Sandy Beach, very close to to house. The waves were big enough for the kids to enjoy and small enough for us not to worry too much. Great dining spots all around Sandy Beach. Also did Crash Boat beach which we would recommend.
As mentioned in another review, wish there were screens that would have allowed us to keep the windows open and enjoy the trade winds while indoors-but all-in-all would return to Rincon and would stay in the house again. Steven and Lysvenette were very responsive to any communications that we sent and were great to deal with throughout the booking process.
Favorite house activity was sitting on the patio/carport with an afternoon drink watching the cows and horses graze on the adjoining property.
My friends and I loved staying at Surfer's Cove! The house was beautiful, modern, and fully equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. Steven was really hospitable and communication was easy, on time, and very helpful in planning and organizing the trip. We were greeted by the property manager and given a quick tour of all of the rooms and amenities. We loved waking up in the morning to do yoga on the grass and eat coconuts from the palm trees. Sandy Beach was only a five minute drive and local bars and restaurants were right on the beach. We had an amazing time watching the sunset from the patio of Ode To The Elephants, an amazing thai restaurant, a few minutes from the house. Overall we had an excellent experience and will recommend this place to all of my family and friends. Thanks again Steven!
