The house has about 220 acres. Living area, this is over 2 floors. From the bright, spacious living / dining area, with tasteful furnishings, it leads directly through sliding glass doors to the large pool area. There are couches and a hot tub and a grill. The pool area has a screen (Cage), so no vermin can get into the house. The pool area looks onto the tropical canal. Two bright, friendly bedrooms are located on the ground floor, each with its own, modern bathroom. The third bedroom is located on the upper floor and also has a divine bath. The bright, upper bedroom leads to a balcony which looks over the pool area and the canal. The open kitchen is equipped with modern appliances. The house is situated on one of the finest and most exclusive Keys in the whole region. The house is located on the deep-water canal and is very tropical, but very well maintained and leads directly into the Bay. In 3 minutes you can be at the 10-kilometer-long Sandy beach. A shopping center with a supermarket, bank, etc. is 5 minutes away by car. Also in the vicinity tennis courts. 10 minutes away is the famous Armands Circle where you can stroll around the 120 shops and restaurants. Also visit in Sarasota Main Street, the Mary-Selby-Museum and the Ringling Museum. Big and mini-golf for the kids are also available. Take a trip to Disney World, that is 2 hours away, or go to one of the many shopping malls of the area. The coast is also a golf paradise. 13 golf courses are located in a radius of 2 to 8 miles.

Notes: The house has a new kitchen with granite slabs, a seat counter with bar stools, toasters, coffee machines, etc. dishes and pots, cutlery for 6-8 people. On the ground floor there is a wood floor, in the bedroom carpet. The entire furnishing was redecorated a year ago. In the utility room are a washing machine and dryer and ironing boards and irons, vacuum cleaners and cleaning equipment. 4 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, Cool boxes for the beach, 1 inflatable beach mattress. 2 Hairdryers, Towels, Beach towels and sheets are available. Activity, Golf and Restaurant Information book. For Families with small children the house is not useful because there is no fence around the pool and the canal. For that we are sorry, that we cannot rent the house to families with small children under 12 years.

Extra information about rental prices: The deposit for cancellation is 20% of the rent. Final payment plus security deposit is payable 30 days before the beginning of rental period. For cancellation of the agreement, the deposit will be retained, if another tenant cannot be found for this period.

Other important information: Shopping center and golf course 5 minutes by car. Many restaurants directly on Long Boat Key and Lido and on Anna Maria. The house is not far from the sea. Rental boats in various sizes and powers can be rented by the hour, day or week. For those that aren't very experienced in boating you are best suited to Pontoon boats. Boat driving licences are not required in Florida.

This was our 14th visit to the Sarasota area and this house was by far our best accomodation. The previous reviews really say it all, and we recommend this property with no reservations whatsoever. Simply brilliant!

Two weeks of bliss

My husband, friends and I had a fabulous holiday on Long Boat Key, based at Villa Buttonwood. The house was neat and clean and provided everything that one could possibly need. Bedrooms and sitting room were extremely comfortable, the swimming pool area good for relaxing and the location was quiet enabling just the holiday that we all required. Local restaurants such as The Chart House, The Cafe On The Bay were good. Myakka State Park, The Ringling Museum and Ringling's restored house impressive. The Armand Circle is wonderful for shopping. The owner was very helpful, in touch regularly and impressed us with her concern that we should enjoy ourselves to the full. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

You Won't Want to Leave........

This home is perfectly located on a bird lovers' canal and just a 5 minute (no more) walk to a glorious beach. The home is beautifully appointed, well equipped, and the beds are wonderfully comfortable.
The owners are extremely accommodating, and lists of restaurants, grocery and specialty shops are provided. If you like walking, the supermarket is an easy walk. All the amenities of Longboat Key are at your disposal.
Sitting around the pool reading or having cocktails with our friends was so enjoyable. We want to repeat this vacation over and over! Beach bums at heart.......

OUR LONGBOAT KEY EXPERIENCE

The description of the property was spot on and when we arrived it was everything we were expecting. The house was exceptionally clean, very well furnished, the extra large bed upstairs was very very comfortable with a great view of the canal. The pool is very large and was heated when we got there. There is also a hot tub, lovely way to spend a warm/cool evening. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook a meal with a lovely dining room. The owners were very helpful, providing information of the area, where to eat, things to do that sort of thing. They also have someone near by if you need anything. Payment was easy and the owners answered any queries we had before we went, very promptly. There are lots of lovely places to walk and you can hire bikes or boats nearby. The beaches are lovely.I would definately recommend this Villa to anyone and hope to go back next time we visit the USA.

Wir sind eine vierköpfige Familie und haben gemeinsam mit den Großeltern einen wunderschönen Urlaub auf Long Boat Key verbracht. Das Haus ist großzügig gestaltet und bietet allen erdenklichen Komfort. Auch die Ausstattung mit Elektrogeräten (Kühlschränke etc.) ist weit größer als in vergleichbaren Projekten. Der schöne Pool wird während der heißen Tage zum Familienzentrum. Beschreibungen zum Haus und zur Umgebung (Shops und Restaurants) waren perfekt. Der Kontakt mit und zu den Vermietern war vorbildlich. Alle Angaben sind absolut authentisch. Wir haben es auch sehr genossen, häufig zum tollen und vor allem leeren Strand zu gehen, der wirklich in ein paar Gehminuten zu erreichen ist. Einer der Höhepunkte des Urlaubes war sicherlich die Tatsache, dass wir mit unserem gemieteten Boot an "unserem" Ferienhaus von der Kanalseite aus angelegt haben. Wir kennen uns gut in den USA aus, werden aber mit Sicherheit noch einmal in dieses Haus als Familie zurückkehren.
