This incredibly spacious and contemporary beachfront 3rd floor unit (unit 308) is perfect for a luxurious and relaxing vacation and was fully renovated as of December 28, 2013. Boasting world-class views of the Gulf of Mexico while providing all the comforts of home, this unit will set the stage for an unforgettable stay.

This unit (which comfortably sleeps 5) features two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an additional den. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the bulkhead and sidepost has been removed to allow for more visibility towards the living space. The open-concept dining area and fully furnished living space leads directly onto the lanai, which is also accessible from the master bedroom. The entire unit features new flooring.

The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, with a two-sided walk-in closet. This leads to the full private bath, completely redone with new tiling, expansive shower and granite countertop. The spacious second bedroom also has a similarly renovated private bath as well as two full-size beds. Both bedrooms and the living area are equipped with flat-screen TVs with HD cable. As an added feature, there is an additional semi-private area with a queen-size sleeper sofa that can function as a third private sleeping space. Another unique feature is the small outdoor rear-facing patio with a table and chairs.

For your convenience, we have included a washer and dryer, free WiFi and a telephone. Each bed comes with two sets of fresh linens, and towels are included. A storage unit will be made available.

The Somerset building is perfect for families, couples and groups of up to 5, with its amicable nature, quiet atmosphere and private beach entrance. It is a safe and secure building on the southwestern side of Marco Island along its famous Crescent Beach. Activities such as water sports, golfing, hiking, dolphin and alligator tours, bird-watching, and yoga are within walking distance. World-class dining is available in both casual and formal settings and a dine-in movie theatre is right across the street.

Naples is just a 30-minute drive away, and with fishing off the Pier, shops and restaurants on 5th Avenue, art exhibitions in the park and Tin City, anyone of any age can find an excellent way to spend the day.

WHAT A GORGEOUS CONDO!!!!

This was our first time we stayed at Somerset. This condo is a perfect place to stay. All the pictures did not do it justice. It was a lot bigger. So tastefully decorated and extremely clean which we like. We had absolutely no complaints with the condo or the rental process. It a big decision trying to find the right condo and place to go for 2 or 3 weeks but this unit will not disappoint you. We are so extremely happy we rented again before we left for 2 weeks for next year. Thanks for having 2 perfect weeks and making the process so easy!!!

Beautiful Marco Island Condo Rental

Just returned from a 1 week stay at beautiful Somerset condo rental on Marco Island. First time to Marco Island and this condo complex was in a perfect location! Gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico with easy beach access! The condo was exactly as it appears in the photos and the entire rental process and check in was easy and efficient.

The Pros: immaculate, beautiful condo in excellent location with gorgeous beach, 2 pools and parking for 1 car ( though easy to get a pass for a visitor or 2nd car). Free WiFi, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys provided in a locker near the pool. Very quiet, and seemingly empty complex with tons of space on the beach to sit and relax. Jet skis, kayaks, parasailing tours just a short walk up the beach. Lots and lots of shells for collecting. Clean, warm, gulf water. Saw dolphins from our balcony in the morning and enjoyed spectacular sunsets from the same balcony in the evening. Lots of wonderful restaurants to choose from and NeNe's kitchen was our favorite for breakfast. Stone crabs fresh from the water at Kirks Seafood in Goodland. They even crack them for you and send them home with you on ice!

The Cons: not much negative here....mainly just a few suggestions. We had trouble with the cable. Got basic cable but no HD. Called management company several times and by our 5th day there they brought over a new HD cable, but it never worked. Not such a big deal, but since there was very little to do in the evening it would have been nice to have more channels available. Would also suggest having some games or cards in the condo to provide some entertainment in the evening. People who visit from other states and fly in, do not want to lug board games with them when traveling. Also, there is absolutely nothing available in the apartment to clean up with. No broom, vacuum,cleaning supplies, etc. By the end of the week we could see big dust bunnies floating through the unit and we had no means to clean them up. I don't think it should be up to the renters to purchase cleaning supplies. We already had to buy paper towels, toilet paper and napkins. It would be to the benefit of both the renter and the owner for those to be provided. There wasn't even any dish detergent!

These are minor complaints and really did not impact on a wonderful vacation. We would definitely recommend this unit to anyone planning on a trip to Marco Island.

A Slice of Heaven on Earth

Our annual trip to Marco Island June 9-16, 2014 was an incredible experience at 308 Somerset I absolutely fell in love with the unit. It is so spacious and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was perfect for preparing our own meals and avoiding the conversation most couples/families deal with while vacationing...." What do you want for dinner?" And the predictable answer " I don't care...what do you feel like eating?" The fully stocked kitchen alone was an "argument-preventer". My son had his own bedroom and bathroom (yay!) and could play his video games while we relaxed on the balcony and enjoyed the quintessential sunset! I can still see it in my mind. The walk to the beach was literally 129 steps. I know this because of my Nike Go bracelet that I used every day to log my steps during my 6:30 am walk of the island. It's 11,451 steps round trip to the nature preserve. Go see the nesting area. The condo was the perfect location for everything. The Horizon's Rental Group answered all our questions and were very helpful about activities on the island. The site manager and staff were extremely polite and welcoming. The Somerset is a gated community with an assigned parking space within a parking garage (huge plus when those afternoon thunderstorms pop up.) The grounds are beautifully manicured and stunning. The Unit comes with a stocked storage locker that has 10+ beach chairs! a few beach umbrellas! beach toys! etc. There is also a cooler provided so that you can take a little picnic to the beach. Or if you don't want to lug chairs back and forth, Paul's Beach Rentals will set you up with lounge chairs, umbrellas and water activities for a very reasonable price. We rented 3 lounge chairs and an umbrella for the entire week. I LoVe LoVED loved it! My husband loved it because it was so quiet. He works 120 hours a week and "unplugged" himself from the cell phone and internet and "plugged" himself into this beautiful condo and it's charming and breath taking front seat to The Gulf Coast against the colorful canvas of the sunsets. We will have a standing reservation here!

Beach, pool, sun and sand..right at your doorstep

We had a great week on Marco! - The unit was recently renovated and was neat and well cared for. The amazing Marco beach is the focal point of this property...and should be!

There was some noisy renovation going on that started around 8am...didn't bother me much, but the teenagers got a rude awakening! The resident owners at the property are a little territorial, but that didn't take away from a great trip!

a fabulous unit with a magnifient view and beautiful beach

This was a 3-generation family trip - parents, daughter and son-in-law, and 6-year-old granddaughter (who slept quite comfortably on the pull-out couch in a "nook' off the kitchen.) The unit had just been renovated as the listing described; the decor was modern and very tasteful, the kitchen was terrific and well stocked, and the bathrooms - in particular the master bath - were great. The master bedroom was very large with great closet space and a lovely view; the second bedroom was smaller but quite fine. The unit was spotless and the condo complex in general was extremely well kept with lovely plantings and two heated pools, one in the sun in the morning and the other that had afternoon sun. We all spent a lot of time in the pool and walking/playing on the beautifully white, flat, 5-mile beach. The location was great - could walk to some restaurants and a lovely bookstore; easy to get to a large variety of excellent restaurants within a 10-minute drive. The rental logistics were very straightforward and the owner's agent was very helpful. We have stayed in several wonderful VRBO properties and this ranks among the very top. We would definitely recommend this property and will likely rent it again.
