About Nancy Giaccio
I'm originally from Long Island, New York. Went to Great Neck South High School, was married in 1979, moved to Florida in 1982, divorced in 1990, have two great kids, boys , (the loves of my life). I love the outdoors, the water, riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, animals,(soft spot), horseback riding(have a horse, dogs & cats). I love the fact that after so many hardships in my life, I was able to make some of my dreams come true! One of which was buying my cabin in Bryson City, North Carolina!! Now, I can share it with you too! I fell in love with this beautiful little town 4 years ago and really didn't want to go back home after my vacation there. But, I had to. I still can't believe I did it. I hope that when you decide to go on vacation, you will want to come to Nanny's Creekside Cabin. I know that you will enjoy it as much as I do! How I came about naming my cabin is, when I was a little girl, my dad, who was my best friend, used to call me Nanny(when I was good... Lol) my dad passed away almost 9 years ago, so, in memory of my dad, my best friend, he is a part of the cabin.
Nancy Giaccio purchased this cabin in 2013
Why Nancy Giaccio chose Bryson City
I have been looking for a place here in Bryson City for 4 years now. It had to be the 'right' place. I wanted to be by a creek, woods, and to have 'easy year round access'
I found Bryson City by accident. I wanted to come to North Carolina, rent a cabin on a mountain, and view the fall season of which I had missed for so long. I did get to do that, and, at the same time, absolutely fell in love with this quaint little town with so much to offer! I cannot tell you how many places it took to find EXACTLY what I was looking for! When I came to this property, walked around, saw the creek, came inside, I knew this was 'the one'. I felt as if I was home. And that is how I want you to feel when you come to Nanny's Creekside Cabin
What makes this cabin unique
One of the reasons why I fell in love with this property is the 'ease of access' It is off of a state maintained road. The drive here is very scenic, and curvy. It is very close to all the anemnities, such as restaurants, grocery stores, The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, The Nantahala Outdoor Center, The Nantahala Forest, Cherokee Indian Village/museum, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, where they have great headliner shows and gambling, Maggie Valley Ski Resort and hot springs, etc. My favorite place in my home is the screen porch in the back where I can have my morning coffee and see and hear the creek right below me. The living room is my next favorite place where I can snuggle up on the reclining sofa listening to the crackling of the wood burning fireplace and just enjoy the peace and quiet. The master bath has a great jacuzzi tub to relax you right before bed time. In the evenings, you can sit by the firepit and either roast some marshmallows or, make some s'mores while telling stories, or just reminicing about the great day you had together. Go exploring in the woods next to the house. You never know what you might see!!
