About Susy Bickford
We chose this property as our retirement home. Kevin born in Newcastle England and I was born in Cochabamba Bolivia, decided that we would enjoy our retirement years in this home. We both are both world travelers and have lived in more than 8 countries. After many travels and experiences of what the world has to offer we chose to make Kihi Kihi our retirement home.
We have vacationed on the Big Island 14 times and rented homes in different parts of the island and we decided Kona Paradise was where we needed to be. We fell in love with our Kihi Kihi home and we would love for you to enjoy our home during your stay on Hawaii, The Big Island.
Susy Bickford purchased this house in 2013
Why Susy Bickford chose Honaunau
What attracted us to Kona Paradise was the property is nestled on the mountain and yet we can hear the sound of the surf. Our love of the mountains and the sea, this property met both of our requirements. It was a nicely developed neighborhood the type of homes we liked and it is in walking distance to a beautiful black pebble beach were it is not crowded and we can enjoy seeing dolphins jumping all year round. During whale season, December thru April, whales are frequent visitors to our coast, and can be seen breaching very close to the shore.
We are located three blocks from the bottom of Kona Paradise, typically on The Big Island you have to descend down to the ocean, as you drive down to Kihi Kihi be careful it is quite steep, however take time to enjoy the view it is quite breathtaking.
Enjoy the true Hawaii.
What makes this house unique
The best benefit is having a beautiful beach 3 blocks away and enjoy the view of the water while you enjoy your morning beverage and a beautiful sunset as you enjoy dinner. There are many activities all within a short walk.
The Kings Trail and many local paths for hiking, the beach is popular for diving, snorkeling and swimming without fighting tourist and crowds. For photographers great opportunity for taking amazing underwater pictures, and of rural Hawaii away from the hustle and bustle of the resort areas.
