Could not have been any better. In fact, we had hoped it would not be so nice, since it makes going home much more difficult. If you have a chance, book a manta night dive or dolphin snorkel with Splashers. Kona Brewery has great food at reasonable prices. Please keep an eye on Norman the sea turtle for us. You can change the name, if you like!

Dennis and I have been traveling to Kona since 2000. In 2011, Dennis retired and we moved to Kona! We live three miles from the Hale Kona Kai and are available to help you at any time!
The Hale Kona Kai condos are RARELY for sale! We own an oceanfront condo in the Kona Reef complex - right next door - and walk past the Hale Kona Kai on our way to town. This is a beautiful complex, very private and very well maintained. Dennis and I were thrilled to find #410! We know that being close to town/walking distance is very important to our guests, and we really like the finishes in #410.
#410 is on the top floor. Let no one fool you, no lower floor has the awesome oceanfront view of a top floor condo. Additionally, the top floor is the most private and less noisy. Every inch of the inside of #410 is brand new - granite counter kitchen with stainless steel appliances, new sleeper sofa and recliner in the living room, new linens and quilts in the bedroom and new linens in the bath. We have one of the few walk-in tiled showers. The majority of units still have the old cast iron tub.
