While restoring Cascina Marenco, we have made every effort to preserve the old structure. It was important to maintain the character of this typical Piedmont stone house. As a result, 3 spacious, comfortably furnished apartments that have traditional stone floors and some visible stone walls were built . The apartments are located on the first floor and have a balcony with a stunning south view over the Bormida Valley. We have a pool measuring 5 x 12 m, a beach volleyball square and a wonderful garden where you can play boccia (boules). There is also a pergola for shadowy, tranquil hours. Cascina Marenco is situated in the hills between the villages of Cessole and Vesime, surrounded by vineyards. A quiet country lane connects the house to these villages, which are only 2 km away. Cessole is a little village with roughly 500 residents. In the small shops you will be able to purchase all the things you need during your stay. There is also a pizzeria and three other restaurants.

Rustic cosiness: You are looking for a comfortable holiday apartment with garden and a large pool in Northern Italy? Then we would like to warmly recommend the Cascina Marenco. Here you can experience the true Italy! No overcrowded sights, no masses of tourists on romantic squares. On the menus you don’t find Menu Turistico in German, English, and Dutch. No tourist buses block the access roads to the cities.

The Piemonthas a rich cultural heritage, marvellous landscapes, great wines and excellent gastronomy.

Apartment of 60 m² with balcony and very nice and comfortable equipment. The fitted kitchen is complete with stove and crockery, two bedrooms with double beds and a sitting area (upon request it is also possible to provide 2 single beds). There is a bathroom with hand basin, shower, WC and bidet. The apartment has tiles and partly visible old stone walls. There is a staircase in the house. From the balcony you have a nice view over the vineyards and the Bormida Valley.

The village of Cessole is set in the beautiful valley of Bormida, and it is the ideal centre for your holiday in Piemont. Hike on unpaved paths, far from tourism. Stroll through the old, picturesque villages of the Piemont and enjoy the marvellous panorama of the Alps from the tower of the former castle in Roccaverano, the highest village of the Asti province. Visit the local wineries and one of the typical village festivals that are held often during summer. Spend one day on the Ligurian coast (about 70 km to the sea). Explore the surrounding cities Acqui Terme, Asti, Alba, Barbaresco, Barolo, Milan or Genoa. Southern Piedmont is a beautiful hill of Italy with a multitude of vineyards and extensive woods. It is also a region with many castles, towers and other buildings of historical interest. Here, many great Italian wines are produced, e.g. Moscato d´Asti, Asti Spumante, Barolo, Babaresco, Barbera.

  • The prices are calculated for occupancy with 2 persons. Each extra person will be charged with 50 Euro per week. Children up to 6 years are free. (Prices are subject to change.)
  • Included in the rental rate: Bed-linen, towels in the bathroom and the kitchen (changed once a week), garden and balcony furniture, TV (satellite), children's cot upon request, final cleaning, central heating, water and electricity, dogs only after agreement, one carport for each apartment, storage space for bicycles, usage of the boccia lane and the swimming pool - please bring your own towels for the pool.
  • Arrival Saturday, Sunday or Monday from 4 pm. Departure Saturday, Sunday or Monday before 10 am. Shorter stays after agreement possible. Payment, rebooking, cancellation: The deposit of 20% per booking is payable upon the receipt of the booking confirmation. If the deposit does not arrive within 10 days on our account, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. The balance has to be paid on arrival in cash in Euro (2 % discount) or via Euro-Card/Master-Card or VISA-card. Cancellations or rebookings until 60 days before arrival will be charged with 20% of the total rate, between 60 and 30 days with 50%, and later cancellations or rebookings with 90% of the rental rate. Your booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation from us. We recommend a travel cancellation insurance. You will receive a detailed route description after booking.
