House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-12)

The Ski Inn is located less than 500 yards from the base of the Winter Park Ski Resort. Our lovely, spacious and comfortable vacation home features a private hot-tub with three bedrooms plus a loft, and two baths on the main two floors (sleeps 6-8). In the past, we have also offered the entire house for larger groups, however, we are only doing this after March 15, for this ski season. You can walk or catch the free shuttle to the ski lifts or shopping, the resort is only a couple of stops away.

The main house (sleeps 6-8) has lots of room for family and friends to comfortably spread out. You will enter into the mud room on the main level and drop off your extra gear. You will find the home to be open and airy with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural light. The cozy living room/dining room combination boasts a large moss rock fireplace to enjoy. The fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and dining table is large enough to seat 10 or more people. 1 Queen bedroom and bath w/shower also located on main floor. Situated upstairs are two bedrooms (both Queens), a small loft with pull our futon. The full bath has a tub/shower.

For larger groups (10-12), or those who want more space, we rent the lower level as well, which has two more bedrooms (Full sized beds in each), family room/dining room, small kitchen, and a spacious bathroom with shower. This area also includes a TV and VCR in the second living room. The "full house" is available for rental staring in March, but not earlier for this year's ski season.

Entertainment includes TV/VCR, 3 decks - First is the spacious sun deck with outdoor furniture off the main level adjoining the family room. The Second is situated on the back of the house with a gas grill & awesome views of the continental divide. Thirdly there is a lower back deck with views and a relaxing hot tub. Please observe our no smoking rule.

You can walk or catch the free shuttle to the ski lifts, the resort is two stops away. The Fraser Trail trailhead is within walking distance. There are also restaurants and ski rentals located in Old Town. Please note our pricing for both the upper two levels and the entire house in the rates section of this site. We would love to have you stay with us....just give us a call.

About The Owner

We are a mother-daughter team, working together to share the beauty, peace, and joy of the SkiInn and Winter Park with others. Judy leads a very busy life "down the hill" in Boulder, where she works as a therapist and runs a food bank. Jenni now lives in California, pursuing a new career in Marine Biology, but returns to Colorado many times every year and always includes a trip to the SkiInn as part of her visit back home.

Generally, your initial contact will be with Jenni for dates, rates, and other information, but Judy will be more than happy to talk with you about anything and everything! Want to know the best sequence of lifts and runs on the mountain? The history of the Moffat Tunnel? Where to find really great and inexpensive lasagna? She knows all this, and more!

Why The Owner chose Winter Park

Judy spent many years volunteering for the Winter Park Handicapped Ski Program and fell in love with the Winter Park/Mary Jane ski area and the town of Winter Park. The neighborhood of "Old Town Winter Park" is particularly special as it is extremely close to the ski area, but without the crowds and close quarters of the lodging located right at the base.

What makes this house unique

A few of our favorite places included Shipwreck Landing North for food and drinks, Alpine Sun for ski rentals and repairs, summertime walks with the dogs along the creek bike path into town.

Weekend get-away

Every year for my husband's birthday we do a little weekend get-away. Wanted something a little different this year so decided to do the Winter Park area for "mud" season. Most of the tourists are gone and the town is quiet and inviting. The home is spacious and comfortable. The fireplace was so inviting and took the chill right out of the air. We would hike most of the day and then return for a quiet evening in front of the fire to read and relax. Close to the main town of Winter Park and only a short drive to Fraser, Granby,Hot Sulpher Springs and Grand Lake. Beautiful area! We would love to do this again in the summer months. Spectacular views, great bike trails and what looks to be great fishing. Judy was wonderful to work with and gracious. Thanks, Judy, wonderful stay:)

Great home....so close to the resort!

This was a perfect home for our family of 8 adults. Judy was so helpful in allowing us to unload in the mudroom even before our designated check in time. We had a great time in Winter Park, making some wonderful family memories, even in the midst of a spring blizzard. The property was clean and well maintained! It was great to have the washer dryer available for our wet ski attire. Our family loved our first snowmobiling experience, booked with Grand Adventures. My 22 year old FF/EMT son said it was the most fun he had ever had...anywhere! The 6 younger adults with us also enjoyed the Coco Cola tubing hill, but it was a bit rough for my husband and I (ages 55, 59).

The rental is just as described. Judy is a wonderful woman to rent from. She is easy to contact and quick to respond. The home was very clean and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. We had a wonderful trip seeing old friends and skiing. We did find out last minute that there was a couple renting out the downstairs portion. May want to make sure to rent the whole place to keep privacy.

Wonderful Family Vacation

This home was even better than expected and perfect for our Winter Park ski week with four kids! The home was clean and had everything we could possibly need. We loved the kitchen, dining, living area. So comfortable for all of us. The bedrooms were wonderful too. Judy was very helpful and the shuttle was so convenient - lets you off just steps from the lift! We loved that!!! We would highly recommend this home for families and extended families. We absolutely hope to stay again.

Exactly as I expected based on owners description and reviews. Very nice, clean home. Lots of space - three bedrooms each w/a very comfortable queen sized bed. Lots of places to sit in living room and at dinning room table. Big fully stocked kitchen. Two bathrooms both w/showers so no lines in the morning! Big hot tub w/views of the divide. Fantastic location, just a short walk to shuttle that goes to WP and MJ base, and town. Large deck on rear of house with lots of chairs and grill. I highly recommend!
