Description of the Imperia Oneglia vacation house rental
We’re in Imperia, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and even if Casa Solemare seems to be in a pleasant spot far from the tourist resorts on the coastline, the house is only 1 km from the coast. The building has maintained its rural look and the original portion of the dry-stone house is reminiscent of the old country buildings that used to accommodate animals during the work in the olive groves. The house is surrounded by olive trees and is perched on one of the nicest hills in Imperia. The large glass window in the drawing room are amazing and offer a view of the tiny port in Oneglia. The cottage Casa Solemare is situated in the middle of old olives trees, at the top of the hill behind the harbour of Imperia Oneglia. A small street drives to the cottage. At the left side you will find the private parking place. The entrance hall in the large living room offers beautiful view on Oneglia and its bay. From the olives garden the view to the seaside is a breathtaking experience!

Imperia is the capital of the province of Imperia and is a small seaside town with a population of 40,000. The town is divided into two large districts, once two separate towns: Oneglia and Porto Maurizio. Oneglia is the eastern part, Porto Maurizio lies to the west and with its cathedral and historical centre, known as 'Parasio', is also the oldest part. Oneglia is an old fishermen’s village and has maintained its old identity as the commercial heart of the town. The old porticoes of the port with its small restaurants where only fresh fish is served are worth a visit, as is the famous shopping avenue of Imperia: the porticoes of via Bonfante.
