Brief description:This wonderful brand new home enjoys a great location up on the hill, overlooking the Yellowstone River. An easy slope takes you down to the riverfront backyard where there is room for kids to play or to have a picnic by the river. A hot tub on the back patio completes the picture!
Size of the home: The home is about 1200 square feet.
Bedrooms and baths: The master bedroom is downstairs, with a queen size bed, and private adjoining bath, with tub and shower. This main level bathroom can also be accessed from the living area, and contains the washer and dryer for the home. Upstairs, there is a second bedroom with bunk beds and an adjoining full bath with tub and shower. Off the bunk room, there is a small loft area that works as the TV room for the home. The loft area is set up with a day bed and an easy chair. The day bed is a trundle that converts to a king size bed. There is also a pull out sofa in the daylight basement that is a TV room. The home can accommodate up to eight guests.
Kitchen and dining area: The complete kitchen, with dishwasher, range, microwave and all the cookware has everything you'll need. The dining room table will seat four, or head on out to the deck and enjoy your meal while enjoying the river view. There is a gas barbecue on the deck for outdoor cooking.
Living room A beautiful rock fireplace is the focal point of the living room, with cozy yet classy furniture arrangement for your evening relaxation. The living and dining areas feature huge windows to take advantage of the river views. The home has a wrap around deck to extend the living area outdoors.
Setting, acreage, views: Chicory Overlook is on about two acres, and there are neighbors along this stretch of the river. Access to the house is via a dirt road the last two miles or so.
Services available: An end of stay cleaning is complimentary. If you happen to be staying two weeks or more, a weekly cleaning will be done. Additional housekeeping, as well as catering, and grocery shopping can be arranged with a bit of prior notice.
Activities nearby: Fishing on the Yellowstone River is literally out the back door. Rent a driftboat, canoe or raft and plan your own adventures on the Yellowstone. Other nearby activities include hiking, biking and horseback riding, and Yellowstone Park, just 40 minutes away. Chico Hot Springs with world class dining and great soaking is just a few minutes down the road. The town of Livingston is 20 minutes away with a great selection of restaurants, galleries and shopping and Bozeman is just over the hill. Winter visitors can enjoy cross country skiing in the beautiful Absaroka Mountains and Yellowstone Park. There is so much to do!
Distance to airport: The Bozeman airport is about an hour drive from the home.
Guest capacity: The home can accommodate a maximum of six people.
Other details: No smoking is allowed in the home. No pets are allowed on the property or in the home without prior written approval from Mountain Home. There is a private phone, television with satellite service, DVD and VCR, and laundry facilities for guests. All Mountain Home properties have fully equipped kitchens, and include good quality kitchen, bath and bed linens, and staples like paper goods, dish and hand soaps.
