Description of cottage was very accurate close to lough Eske castle as required for family wedding. Every facility provided. Property was spotlessly clean. Patrick and Mairead where very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this property to others and hope to stay there again.
Just back from a lovely weekend at Brachan brae, the cottage is extremely spacious and is well equipped with everything you need for a get away.We had a party off 5 adults 2 teenagers a five year old and a baby and the cottage was more than enough room with all rooms ensuite, Mariead came by the first evening to ensure we had settled in ok and advised of a few activities in surrounding area, Patsy came by on the Saturday and removed the rubbish and then came back a few hours later with a new born easter lamb so the children could see, which made their day, was a really nice gesture, also he had his sheep dog fly with him which the children enjoyed also, thanks folks for letting us stay in your lovely cottage, will see ya again soon.

We stayed at Brachan Brae for 3 nights to attend a family wedding reception at Harvey's Point. We can wholeheartedly recommend the house, which completely lived up to our expectations. The views over Lough Eske are superb, the house is spacious - particularly the kitchen/dining area/conservatory to the left of the hosue in the main picture, where we entertained over 20 people on the last day of our stay.
Patsy and Mairead visited us twice to see that all was OK. Shopping for groceries best done at Lidl on the Donegal Ring Road or Supervalu in Donegal Town.
What a wonderful place for a family holiday! We were varying numbers of adults, up to 7, plus a toddler and a babe in arms. The house was perfect - bright, spacious, comfortable, incredibly well equipped, with a brilliant child-friendly garden space - complete with wandering goat herd!. The location was amazing with stunning views and we loved Donegal and the surrounding area.
Our hosts were so lovely - nothing was too much trouble.
We had other friends staying nearby and we entertained often - with them always preferring to use Brachan Brae as the base for our evenings as it was so spacious and well-equipped.
Hope we can come back soon! Gill Johnston and family, June 2011.
We stayed in this house over New Year and had a wonderful time. We were so pleasantly surprised with the size and comfort of the house and the location looking out over the lake was gorgeous. It is within walking distance of Lough Eske Castle and Harveys Point hotels and perfect for anyone attending weddings at either location.
We were a party of 8 but this house would comfortably accommodate 10.
We are hoping to return at some time in the future and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
This house had absolutely loads of room for 8 adults and one toddler to spend a week - everything was perfectly clean and well-maintained with comfortable, solid furniture in every room, including a lovely bright conservatory opening to the outside picnic area - where we spent most of our time.
Very high standard accommodation - would highly recommend it.
