My husband and I grew up in St. Bernard, La just miles from New Orleans. Jammie is a fisherman, we love natures landscape either water or mountains. We had to rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. We, as a family, knew we had to look for a second property if we wanted to live in southeast Louisiana. We visited a friend in Pigeon Forge and fell in love. We found this cabin and started to renovate and loved it. We wanted to share it with others. The hussle of New Orleans life is very busy, the mountains are a welcomed change.

The view of mountains are so amazing! If you live a busy life like our life, when you arrive here it slows down. I just saw my first snow fall. Where we live near New Orleans, its mostly 75 degrees or hotter.

Ater experencing Hurricane Katrina our lives changed.

We love having this escape, it is so peaceful. To step out of the bedroom into the hot tub is wonderful.

When we are outside we can hear Dollywood's train, and sometimes we can see Dollywood's fireworks display.

At night it is so peaceful to see all the cabin lights through the town, they look as though they are just sprinkled through out the mountains. During the day you can see Ober Mountain in Gatlinburg.

We were in Pigeon Forge during the fall, and the leaves were breath taking. I could hear each leaf hit the ground. The colors are incredible. It looks like someone painted the landscape.

The cabin is very peaceful, but you are just minutes away from Dollywood Parkway. No worries about

We have done some remodeling(kitchen- all new appliances, bathroom, and added all new flat screen TV's).

We have plans this year to remodel the living room and put new flooring.

Unique Benefits

The cabin is near lots of attractions: Dollywood, Titanic, and Hattfield & McCoy dinner show, and more.

There many outdoor activites as well: Cade's cove, white water rafting, tubing, ziplining, horse back riding, and much more.

The cabin itself is very comfortable and warm. The view is breathtaking, and you will never get tired of it. Every room has a view, that is what makes it so special!

It is very private to just relax.

The view is what made us fall in love!

After the rain, you can see the smoke come from the mountains. This is the most peaceful place I have ever been! The porch is facing Gatlinburg, great view!

The view is heavenly.

The sunset is breathtaking.

Sitting on the swing with the screened in porch is so relaxing.

The cabin was as described. The views were fabulous. The roads were paved however the road going up to the cabin was a little steep and winding. Would stay there again but not if there was inclimate weather.

Great Family Vacation!!

Our family reserved this chalet Christmas week. We found it to be both affordable and very comfortable. The views were outstanding!!! When we entered the chalet, we found it to be clean, neat, and attractive, with a Christmas tree glowing by the fireplace. The chalet is close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, yet very private. The appliances were new and everything worked well. The hot tub and fireplace both worked great! Also, the beds were comfortable. We never ran out of hot water, even though 5 of us took a shower each morning. The chalet stayed warm and cozy, which was important to us, because we had two small children in the group. One bedroom and the pool table are located upstairs, but the chalet included a child gate.

Because we built a fire every night, we ran out of wood mid-week and contacted the owner to see where we might be able to get some more wood. That afternoon, after a trip to town, we arrived to find a huge supply of wood! Needless to say, we were able to have a fire that night and every night for the rest of our vacation.

I would definitely recommend this chalet. The owners were extremely nice and helpful and the chalet exceeded all our expectations. My favorite spot was on the upper deck, sitting in a rocker with a piping hot cup of coffee, enjoying the marvelous view.

We've rented chalets many times, and we found this one to be as nice as any we have rented. We may avoid visiting this area around Christmas again, since the crowds downtown and at all the tourist attractions were unbelievable, but we will definitely be back to this chalet at a different time of the year!
