Firstly, and most importantly, it's right by the sea! There are next-door neighbours, but there is nothing in front of the villa to obstruct the amazing view of the water.
The villa can sleep 4 comfortably; there are 2 upstairs bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) and 1.5 bathrooms (1 full, 1 WC) – which could be an issue if you are all female (!). That said, you should really spend most of your time outside. There is a sea view balcony in front of 2 bedrooms and a deck downstairs leading from the living and dining rooms to the private pool. At 8m x 4m, you won’t be doing Olympic laps, but what a great place for sundowner cocktails! Dining in the sunlight/moonlight is at your disposal at the outdoor table, although you are more likely to be found on the full-length sun-loungers while the others try to remember how to use a charcoal BBQ.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need, from preparing a light lunch to grilling some of Cyprus's wonderful fish. The kitchen has an open plan arrangement looking through the dining room to the beautiful views of the sea.
I've owned this villa for close to a decade now and rented it for quite some time -- it was love at first sight! Who wouldn't want to own a slice of sunshine paradise on one of the least spoiled coasts in the Med? I'm also a fan of the healthy Med lifestyle and am a regular at a number of restaurants on the Coral Bay strip, including Seriani which I think serves brilliant Cypriot food and has been doing so for years.
If you are in lounge lizard mode and don’t want to go anywhere at all, you don’t have to leave the villa! Coral Bay Village is a 5 min. walk and you will find everything you need for an enjoyable week – supermarket, restaurants, bars and pubs… even a number of nearby dive and adventure centres. Just try and remember what day your flight is on (!).
Good Cypriot dishes can be found at Seriani, opposite the supermarket, and a nice Italian alternative is Trattoria la Vigna at the furthest end of the strip. A favourite bar, with great drinks and decent music, is the Coral Sunset Bar upstairs with good views of the strip. Also nearby and very worth checking out is the outdoor bar at the 5-star Coral Bay Beach Hotel.
Your car, a taxi from Coral Bay or bus #10 or #15 can get you to Paphos Harbour. And from the Harbour, you can walk everywhere in Paphos Town (OK, everywhere touristy!). Paphos Town emanates from the Harbour which is nestled in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Other Activities: trolling the wonderful vineyards in the Troodos mountains foothills
