The house is very spaceous for two people, bright, fully equipped and clean, so that you can feel like at home. Since the owner lives near by, she helped us with all informations and services. The house is located at the peacefull edge of the village Petten (where market, souvenir shop, restaurant, information office are), right behind the dunes. You cannot resist walking or cycling there, because romantic dunes and sandy beaches of the North Sea are a paradise for walkers and cyclists. So, you have to rent a bike (you can do it in the camp near by) and enjoy the landscape - it is very easy to ride, since there are so many bike ways and no hills. The position in North Holland is also ideal for making daily sightseeing tours - Amsterdam, Edam, Haarlem, Alkmaar, Delft, Texel island ...are all close by. Of course, you cannot spend your holiday just sunbathing on the beach and swimming, because the weather on the North Sea is unpredictable - the wind can blow powerfully and the water is quite cold. But you can spend an unforgetable active holiday.
