Between Perpignan and the Spanish border, at the foot of the here beginning Pyrenees you will find the village Montauriol with about 200 inhabitants. To this small village belongs a Pre Romanic chapel of the 10th century. The earlier farmhouse lies above the village, on a hill. Carefully restored, it offers the suitable framework to friends of the contemplative land life in a separate side wing and a former baking house (Fournil) for calm, recovering vacation, off the beaten track. The residential yard is protected against views by old walls and by the hillside situation of the house. The enchanted garden reflects the romantic character of the house with its numerous corners and retreat possibilities. The house has an oval swimming pool (approx. 10 x 5 meters /33 x 17 ft, with counter flowing unit), which was integrated skilfully into the old substance.

The floor space of the apartment of 50 square meters is divided into 3 levels and a separate residential yard. Ground floor: Dining room with kitchenette (two electric hot plates, hot water heater, percolator, small refrigerator, sink), shower and toilet. First floor: Living room with cubicle and a firm mattress of 160x 200cm / 5.25 x 6.6ft. Second floor: Gallery with 1 or 2 beds (mattresses of 100 x 200 cm / 3.28 x 6.6ft each). The large and the small apartment have a connecting door and can be combined.

Lieber Herr Kochhäuser, auf diesem Wege möchten wir uns ganz herzlich für die wunderschöne Woche in Ihrem Haus in Montauriol bedanken. Ihr Haus ist wirklich etwas ganz besonderes, romantisch, verwunschen und sehr schön in das Dorf eingebunden. Wir haben uns unheimlich wohl gefühlt. Natürlich haben wir in der Gegend alles Mögliche unternommen, sind gewandert und haben besichtigt... aber eigentlich könnte man den ganzen Tag im Garten und am Pool verbringen, und hätte nicht das Gefühl irgendetwas verpasst zu haben. Für Flitterwochen hätten wir uns keinen schöneren Ort vorstellen können... Nebenbei bemerkt, die Skulptur von Peter Weiß auf dem Dorfplatz ist uns gleich bekannt vorgekommen. In Darmstadt stehen an vielen Plätzen Werke von ihm, auch ganz bei uns in der Nähe... Nochmals vielen Dank für eine besonders schöne Zeit... Viele Grüße Familie K. aus Darmstadt

Schön aber wenig Privatsphäre!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles sauber und ordentlich und einladend gestaltet. Die große Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wurde täglich von uns genutzt.

Leider ist das Petit Apartement ein wenig dunkel, sodass wir uns lieber draußen aufhielten. Dort rannten stampfend aber dann leider immer die Kinder unserer Nachbarn vorbei, für die es keinen anderen Weg zu oder von ihrem Grand Apartement gab. Die Gäste aus dem Backhaus konnten uns auch immer sehen. Es waren zwar nette Gäste zugegen, jedoch hätten wir gern mehr Privatsphäre gehabt. Auch war es für uns schwierig den Hund laufen zu lassen, weil wir von Ebenerdigkeit ausgegangen sind aber überall Stufen und Treppen waren, die für unseren bandscheibengeplagten Hund absolut tabu sind.

Alles in Allem ist dieses Domizil weiterzuempfehlen, jedoch sollte man sich über die o.g. Dinge im Klaren sein.

sehr schöner ruhiger Urlaub

Wir, 45 und 57 Jahre alt und zum ersten mal seit langem ohne Kind unterwegs, hatten einen sehr schönen, ruhigen (Wohnort) und gleichzeitig beeindruckenden (Pyrenäenmassiv) Aufenthalt, der nur den Makel hatte, dass er zu kurz war. Sehr freundlicher, zuvorkommender Empfang und die witzigsten Mitmieter aller Zeiten, die wir das Glück hatten bei Benutzung der gemeinsamen Küche näher kennen lernen zu dürfen.
Gerne wieder.

Eine Idylle zum Erholen!

Die Erwartungen wurden zu 100 Prozent erfüllt. Wenn man sich Erholen und fernab von Touristenzentren Urlaub machen will, dann ist das genau das Richtige. Aber darüber sollte man sich im Klaren sein: Ruhe und Entspannung sind hier das Hauptziel. Wenn das Wetter mit spielt (wie bei uns) ist der Pool einfach klasse!

Sehr schöne, gepflegte Unterkunft mit grossem Garten. Die Küche ist sehr grosszügig ausgestattet, ideal für Kochliebhaber. Ruhige Lage, sehr viele Freizeit- und Kulturmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal da.
