Guestbook comments from the manager

I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our stay! We both wish we would have had more time to just relax in the cabin! The view was so beautiful and the cabin so inviting and clean. We enjoyed the National Park and went Zip lining at Climbworks just outside of Gatlinburg. If you have the chance, I highly recommend them! I am already telling everyone how great the cabin was and suggesting they book a stay! We would love to come back in a few years. I am still smiling about the trip! Memories to last a lifetime.

Great Cabin but needs some minor maintenance

  • of 5

Cabin was in a great location. The view was beautiful! The cabin was clean. The overall stay was good. The cabin needs some minor maintenance that would make the stay more enjoyable. The upstairs bathroom door would not close and latch, the light in the shower in upstairs bathroom is burnt out, and the light over kitchen bar area is out. I would recommend d adding extra trash bags for the kitcheb trash can for guests staying more than a few nights. I'd also suggest adding an additional skillet/frying pan since there is only one on the cabin which makes cooking breakfast difficult. Overall a good stay but the cabin needs some minor maintenance.

Beautiful Views! Most amazing place to unplug.

  • 5 of 5

I'm a full time student and my husband runs his own business from home--with two little ones who homeschool, we are in a very busy season of life. We were looking for a quiet place for our family to totally unwind for a couple of days. I fell in love with the smokies a few years ago and I've dreamed of booking a cabin with a view. "Breathless" was perfectly suited for our needs and exceeded our hopes! We stayed for two nights and we were absolutely not ready to leave on our last day. Thank you so much for having us at your lovely cabin!

LOCATION

The cabin is located just minutes up the mountain from Wears Valley away from the madness of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. However, it is not too far that one couldn't make a day trip into either place (about a thirty minute drive). It's about an hour from Cades Cove. However, we didn't leave the cabin the entire time--it was so relaxing!

VIEWS

The views of the mountains and Wears Valley are simply breathtaking. We were on the deck multiple times a day and our little girls squealed at the sunset over the mountain ridge. We took a million pictures. I brought my yoga mat and wound up practicing one morning on the front porch with a view of the mountains. It was glorious!

AMENITIES

I'm generally not a hot tub person, but it wound up being perfect weather for sitting in the tub and looking out over the valley. We enjoyed it to the last minute, even sipping coffee from the hot tub moments before packing up to go. It wasn't the right season for the pool, but our kids are already begging us to take them back in the summer.

CABIN

The cabin was very clean and tastefully decorated. There were plenty of linens, towels, blankets, etc. Included was enough laundry soap for one load of laundry, a small bottle of dish soap, and enough dishwashing detergent for two loads. There was also plenty of paper towels and toilet paper. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare our meals there. The cabin was perfect for our family of four--our daughters slept upstairs in the loft, and my husband and I took the king bed downstairs. And the best part?? There were no chores required at check-out!

*A word of caution about maps: Google/Apple both wanted to send us up a very steep, washed out road. These directions are slightly different than the homeowner's directions. Follow the homeowner's directions and all should be fine. We made it up the mountain in our Prius!

Breathless is right!!

  • 4 of 5

This cabin lives up to its name, offering a view that you can't get anywhere!! The hot tub was so nice to have and the beds are super comfortable! Always helps to rest well on vacation and that's no problem here. I would've loved to give this a cabin an excellent rating but there were a few minor housekeeping issues that I feel was just laziness or being rushed on whoever cleans this cabin. There were toothpaste splatters on the walls by the bathroom sinks, a little blood(?) on the side of the downstairs toilet and a good bit of blonde hair on the upstairs bathrooms floor. Also, there were like random pennies lying around and we also didn't like that there wasn't a curtain or shade to close the glass door at night. With all that being said, I would still stay here again and I am actually looking forward to bringing my children in the spring.

Absolutely beautiful

  • 4 of 5

The view from here is gorgeous! I couldn't ask for better! Everything was just as it was described. My only negative was proximity to other cabins. Luckily the neighbors were quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for couple or small family

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was situated atop of a hill about halfway up the mountain range. The accommodations were perfect. Beautiful decor for a cabin and we had everything we needed. Even good speed wifi. I would highly recommend this cabin for someone wanting to be removed from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for the evenings/night. A family of 4 will be more than comfortable. The only downside is that the cabin is not isolated from others as there is other cabins 30 feet away. However, the way they are situated, you hardly notice. In other words, I wouldn't skinny dip in the hot tub.
