Dee Dee or John Heidelman
Both John and Dee Dee grew up in Southern California. John earned his bachelor's degree at Loyola University and a Master's in Business at USC. Dee Dee is the UCLA Bruin and has a Master's in Psychology from Antioch University. We typically go to Mammoth once a month but with our son playing club volleyball and attending Oaks Christian High School, our opportunity to get away is temporarily limited. We love to ski in the winter and hike, bike, canoe and fish in the spring, summer and fall.
We have been skiing Mammoth since our teens. We purchased this town home because we wanted a second home to enjoy with our family and friends. We were told 'skiers buy for the winters but keep for the summers', and it is so true. It's hard to say what season we like best! We bought this particular unit because it easily accommodates two families. The 'in town' location is perfect for easy access in the winter (no tricky, out of the way streets that you can't find when the snow is piled high) and for summer evening walks to local restaurants and entertainment, or Mammoth Creek park. It is also conveniently located on the shuttle route.
We have completely remodeled the unit and hope you will find it as warm and cozy as we do. Our antler chandelier, knotty pine ceiling, and dry stack stone fireplace give us the mountain feel we so love. When we remodeled, we added the mud room which allowed us to have a large deck upstairs. We enjoy barbecues and dining on the deck and using the mud room to store our gear or tune our skis.
