We DO NOT offer super budget rates…EXCEPT when:
1) The week is HIGH season A-N-D
2) The Owner had planned to be in residence A-N-D
3) The Owner’s plans have changed A-N-D
4) The occupancy date is NEAR - meaning typically within 30 days or so.
We offer VERY COMPETITIVELY priced rates — compared with Expedia & the Resort.
The Crane is INTERVAL Ownership - not a traditional Timeshare. Owners have options & generally are not “STUCK” with weeks nor offering Fire Sale rentals.
Pls check FLIGHTS BEFORE contacting us so you do not waste your time.
If you do not want to fly on SAT, consider enjoying the WEST coast before… or booking 1 night in The Gap or an airport B&B.
The Crane is a destination… a week of Rest, Relaxation & Rejuvenation at one of the finest beaches in the World.
Owners are very willing to rent at competitive prices.
We ONLY book SAT to SAT unless SPECIAL is listed.

The VRBO “MY STANDARD” is our minimum STANDARD rate for Late spring, summer and fall in a 1 bed 2 bath Ocean (sleeps 4).
OUR STANDARD rates are Great Deals compared with the Resort/Expedia type: SAT to SAT.
Our SPECIALS (when available) are EVEN Better & not always SAT to SAT.
Year-round, our minimum standard rate for NON-ocean view STUDIOS (King bed, Spa bath and sleeps 2) is $1800. These are LOCKOFF portion of a 2 bedroom. The STUDIOS are the least expensive when 2 bed Owner only needs the Ocean 1 bed.
ALL Prices USD. Info here overrides info in calendar if there is a conflict. More weeks become available - inquire.
As an INTERVAL resort, we have Internal Exchange. If owned suite is not avail to meet your request, we ask an Owner to exchange (week, size & location) for your week, size & location.
We accommodate multi-week requests. THIS YR - 14 nights “Christmas” & New Years is 12/27 to 1/3/15. 21 nights is 12/20 to 1/3/15. Consider 3 or 4 weeks in Jan, Feb, or March.
*** 1/3 to 1/10/15 is LOW occupancy. It is a GREAT week to be at The Crane !!!! The same for Dec weeks (get tan for your New Yrs eve): 12/6 to 12/13/14 & 12/13 to 12/20/14. ***
*** If you are in the US, consider THANKSGIVING week at The Crane - avoid the family dramas - save vacation time: 11/22 to 11/29/14. ***

High in building 4 - sleeps 6 - 2 master suites with jetted, 2 person spa tubs & separate stone & glass showers - 3rd full bath (shower) - full kitchen - daily maid service . Panoramic ocean views. $6,000 USD Owner will be renting to a friend if this suite is not reserved soon. Thru Front Desk, this same suite with all taxes/fees is over $15,000 for same dates. This includes New Year's Eve at The Crane ~~~~~
All suites are subject to prior rental or sale; alternate suites may be available… the price may be higher. If a suite needs to be pulled for you FROM the internal exchange, the price is typically higher than when an Owner controls a suite that matches your request. Exchange costs for Owner depend on WHAT the Owner is exchanging. The Crane is an interval resort and not a traditional Timeshare.
When AN EXCHANGE is used to get the room & week you want, we quote tentative rates & confirm final rates when you are ready to commit & when we know exactly what is available via exchange.
The suite that is available today may not be available tomorrow. We do not hold suites without deposits.

There are over 12 different 'classes' of suites with 1 King bed… ranging in size from 600 sq ft to 1600 sq ft. Some have private pools. Some sleep only 2 OR up to 4 people with sofa bed. Some are penthouses. Some do NOT have ocean views. The Crane is not a homogenous, cookie cutter resort. The Crane is on one of the Best beaches in the World and has luxurious pools and amazing ocean views throughout the resort.
The resort is very high occupancy in winter.
Until you have paid a Deposit - you have merely made an Inquiry and do not have a reservation.
The Crane is very popular; classes of suites sell out - even in summer.
ALL rates quoted here include taxes, service & all room & resort fees but do not include air conditioning which is billed based on usage - if any. In the ocean buildings, most people 1) use the overhead fans 2) open the west facing louvers 3) open the ocean facing doors and windows 4) enjoy the ocean breezes.

One room STUDIOS are available - they do not have a separate living room/lounge but do have one King 4 poster bed and en suite master spa bath with jetted tub for 2 and separate stone and glass shower. They have a mini-kitchenette. They do not have a full kitchen. They do not have a dishwasher. They do not have a washer/dryer. They are a LOCKOFF master bedroom with mini-kitchette. ~~~
We have owned at The Crane since 2006 and were in residence 5 weeks last winter and the one before. All units are furnished identically by Resort Management - except some in the historic hotel (Bld1) which have antiques. The Crane is operated and managed as a traditional resort. It is unique in that suites within the resort are individually owned (typically in very large blocks) but they are furnished, serviced, & maintained by resort management.
On any one day - each suite is
a) rented out by the Resort FOR the owner as if the resort were a resort hotel
b) occupied by its owner
c) occupied by someone who has rented/reserved it from the suite owner... someone just like YOU.
When you reserve thru Expedia or the Front Desk, you reserve:
~ a size (studio aka jr suite, 1 bed, 2 bed, or 3 bed)
~ a location (ocean balcony, in The Park* (no ocean view), no ocean view (studio aka jr suite), Ocean PENTHOUSE, or Park Penthouse* (no ocean view).
~ optionally your own private pool (large ground floor, small plunge pool, or rooftop (no tan lines)
~~~ and YOUR suite is assigned at Check-in.
* We do NOT recommend STANDARD Park suites.
Via internal exchange - suite is assigned at Check-in. Booked DIRECTLY into Owner’s suite, you know bld & flr.
The Crane produces reservation confirm in your name.
Inquire about any dates SAT to SAT, regardless calendar info.
Some weeks are also for sale including Christmas & New Years.
Ocean View Residences - The ocean view residences at the Crane afford the most extraordinary & unforgettable experience of understated luxury & gorgeous vistas.
~ A standard ocean view one bedroom without plunge pool has 2 baths, 2 rooms and full kitchen. 1200 sq ft. Sleeps 4.
~ In addition, a DELUXE one bed ocean is bigger and also includes a private plunge pool, a double wide balcony, & balcony dining table. Sleeps 4.
~ A 2 bed ocean has 2 master suites, 2 master baths with jetted tub & separate shower, 2 balconies, a tower plunge pool and a 3rd bath with glass shower. Sleeps 6.
~ All suites EXCEPT studio have pull out sofa bed for 2 more guests than the number of bedrooms.
~ Other features include mahogany furniture, mahogany shutters & doors & private patio or balcony.
~ The Ocean master bathrooms: double sink, marble walls, jetted tub for 2 & separate stone & glass shower with bench.
~ Other amenities included at no extra charge: cable TV with DVD player, WiFi internet, VOIP tel to LAND LINES, washer and dryer (not in studio), daily maid service, access to room service. The pools, beach, tennis courts, fitness centre, chaises & umbrellas, & beach towels are all included.
Air conditioning is billed based on actual usage - if any. Ceiling fans, louvered doors, and a strong breeze. If NOT facing ocean, you may need AC.
~ There is a fully equipped kitchen* with ice-maker, four-burner stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher & a washer/dryer. *studio has mini-kitchen with 2 burners and a 'bar fridge' & no washer or dryer or dishwasher.
~ In the Park – we recommend D-E-L-U-X-E Park Penthouses with roof top pool & ultra private “no tan lines” sun deck, gas BBQ grill, & rooftop pergola dining table & chairs. Park 2 bedroom is just slightly larger than a 1 bedroom Ocean.
We DO NOT rent the very small, “STANDARD”, 1 bed in the PARK. They face un-landscaped areas, temp work sheds & bld under construction. They LACK 1) ocean view & breeze, 2) dining table (only breakfast bar), 3) style spa master bath(only small 1 sink no vanity stall shower bath). YOU CAN FIND THESE ELSEWHERE at CHEAP prices.
COMPARISON: 1 bed 2 bath Ocean & STANDARD (super budget) PARK 1 bed 1 bath. The Ocean suite: has 1 1/2 times the sq ft; a balcony on the ocean with ocean vistas & breezes; 2 full baths including a spa bath with 2 person jetted tub, stone & glass shower, double sink vanity, & dressing area; balcony chaises overlooking ocean; larger kitchen.
Payments: Most Deposits are paid via PayPal.
Most Balances are paid via wire transfer unless the owner prefers PayPal. Owners tend to live in the UK, USA or Canada. Renters tend to live in one of those countries & typically not the same country as the owner. An international wire transfer simplifies payments. When both parties are in the same country, there are additional simple options. When the rental is months away, there are additional options as well.

The Crane embraces all your senses: the beautiful vistas of the ocean and surf breaking on its coral reefs, Crane Beach, the surf song... the music of the waves crashing against the bluff 24x7, the smell of fresh salt air whose last landfall was Africa, spectacular sunrises, fluffy clouds zooming by, airplanes high in the sky taking sad people away from The Crane, the brilliant stars at night, Caribbean food and the loved ones you bring with you.
As my children have grown, the expansiveness of the 40 acre resort has allowed everyone to disappear during the day. There are also special places for families with small children / grandchildren. The Crane is the sort of place where 3 generations vacation together happily.
If you are looking for water slides, piped in calypso style music, and 24 hour party atmosphere, The Crane is NOT the resort you seek.
Some people will book a few days on the WEST Coast for Caribbean Hub Bub and then come chill at The Crane for the real vacation.
