La Maison d'Estelle is a south-facing 200 year old house situated on the edge of the 14C village of Salazac with wonderful views of the surrounding vineyards and wooded hills. The house has recently been completely restored by local craftsmen. The accommodation is of an exceptionally high standard and includes 5 bedrooms (3 doubles, one with its own terrace and 2 with single beds). The fully equipped kitchen makes light work of self-catering and for dining the lovely old pine table easily seats 10 people . French doors lead onto the main terrace with fabulous views of the valley below. There are 2 sitting rooms, one elegantly cool, with 2 sofas; the 2nd has a Freeview TV, a DVD player & broadband WiFi. The 10 x 5m pool has a stone paving surround and a shady sun terrace with table & chairs for 10.. There are plenty of comfortable sun loungers for relaxing; and a boules court, gym and table tennis for fun. A large barbecue is provided in the spacious and private garden.

La Maison d'Estelle sits on the edge of the classic Provencal 14C village of Salazac in the Gard, just a short drive from Goudargues, Bagnols-sur-Ceze & Barjac. Close to Nimes, Avignon, Uzes, & Orange with the Cevennes, Ardeche & the coast not far away, the house’s location has many advantages. Access by road (A7, x19 at Bollene), plane (Nimes, Montpellier or Marseille) & train (Avignon) is unusually easy. Lovers of all things Provencal will find them in abundance in this area. The nearby hilltop villages of la Roque sur Ceze & Cornillon, like Salazac, are classic beauties. Goudargues with its waterways, village shops & restaurants has so much to offer. There are weekly markets in many of the nearby towns & villages. A visit to Uzes on a Saturday morning is a must! Sites of cultural interest close by include the famous Pont du Gard, the Roman amphitheatres of Orange & Nimes, the Palais de Papes at Avignon & the Chatreuse de Valbonne. And the coast is only an hour away.

WiFi broadband, Freeview TV & DVD player are provided. For those who want to keep fit, a well equipped gym has recently been installed. The pool is protected with an audible alarm.

A local English resident will be happy to answer any questions about the area & help deal with any problems you have during your stay.
