'COMFY' ASPEN BROOK HOME WITH LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION (RIVER-YMCA-RMNP)

Estes Park Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedroom Home Located In Aspen Brook, Sleeps 6

'It's not just a transaction...for us it's a passion!'

AspenHaus 'Wanderer' is situated in the Estes Park community of Aspen Brook with shared access to the Big Thompson River. From our cozy mountain home it's just a short walk into the Rocky Mountain National Park, 1/2 mile to the YMCA of the Rockies, 2 miles to the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP and 3.5 miles to the town center. Or simply leave your car at our home and take the FREE Estes Park Summer shuttle from a stop located less than 1/4 mile from AspenHaus Wanderer!!

And AspenHaus Wanderer is right down the road from AspenHaus Lodge (owned by our friends Sue and Mark Werder who will be facilitating your stay for us). We have freshly updated our cabin to provide you with the same ultimate Rocky Mountain experience you have come to know from AspenHaus!

As far as those updates...we have upgraded to granite countertops in the kitchen and all new stainless steel appliances; and purchased a new washer/dryer, a new natural gas grill for the deck and some fun mountain cabin furnishings. We have also re-finished the pine floors, painted the entire interior and stained/painted the exterior deck and trim. All ready to go for you to enjoy!

Our 1,075 sq ft home has a main level vaulted great room which is an ideal gathering space...enjoy the ambiance of the gas log Colorado moss rock fireplace situated in a warm and inviting living room setting complete with an adjoining fully equipped kitchen and dining room area. Picture windows all around...no artwork needed on these walls!

Step out on the deck to enjoy the sounds of the Big Thompson River, just a stone's throw-away; and sneak a peek of it through the pine trees along with the Continental Divide's Notchtop Mountain... you can take it all in while having your morning coffee, an evening glass of wine or cooking dinner on the grill. And while you are there be sure to say “hey” to our frequent visitors including elk, mule deer and wild turkeys!

The main floor bedroom has a king-sized bed with an adjoining full bath. Also on the main floor and adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry with full washer and dryer.

The second level of AspenHaus Wanderer has two bedrooms (a king bed in one and a combination queen/twin bunk in the other); sharing a full bathroom located off the loft hallway.

As our guest you will enjoy access to shared common fishing, picnic and playground areas along the Big Thompson river... all just a short walk from our cabin.

While you are at it- take a short woodsy walk along the Big Thompson River and emerge to expansive views of Moraine Park. Visit the museum, catch the shuttle to other RMNP destinations or continue your hike on to Cub Lake where you will have extraordinary opportunities to view herds of elk along the way.

Need we go on... our family thinks that AspenHaus Wanderer is perfect in every way... not just another vacation rental but our perfect mountain home!

We hail from Indiana; and are diehard fans of the Indianapolis Colts, the Rocky Mountain National Park and (most of all!) our 5 grandchildren who love to frequent Estes Park with our 2 daughters and their husbands. We should also tell you that we are avid hikers...'Wanderer'! The cabin is ideal for hikes, many of which begin right from our doorsteps and continue into the RMNP from trailheads less than 1/4 mile away.

Sue W. purchased this cabin in 1993

Location, location, location...the Big Thompson River, the YMCA of the Rockies, the National Park trails and the Dunraven Inn all within a short walk...the Beaver Meadows entrance to the RMNP, the village center of Estes Park and some of our favorite restaurants all within a short drive. We knew immediately that AspenHaus 'Wanderer' was the one for our family!

Walk directly into the RMNP or access the shuttle bus by foot to avoid traffic and delays!

EXCELLENT VACATION CABIN

  • 5 of 5
It was perfect for our family of 4. With the 3 bedrooms, our son and daughter were happy to have their own bedroom. The cabin has amazing views of the mountains. I loved reading my book on the deck and looking up at the snow capped peaks.

COMFY CABIN

  • 5 of 5
This was exactly how I pictured the perfect family Colorado vacation home. Sounds of the river and views of the mountains right from the deck! The home was spacious enough for my 6 family members to spread out and cozy enough to play cards by the fireplace in the evening. The location was perfect! Situated between the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance and town. Great for all interests. I would recommend this home to anyone who wanted a relaxing atmosphere while still not too far from the action of downtown. Hope to return in the future!!

THE PERFECT MOUNTAIN GETAWAY

  • 5 of 5
This was the perfect mountain getaway for our six person family. It could've comfortably accommodated seven to eight. It has a wonderful, well stocked kitchen, nice dining area with seating for six and a laundry room with full size washer and dryer. The living area was comfortable with a handful of movies if/when you've had enough of the nearby river sounds, mountain view and hiking. The home is secluded enough yet close enough to town and just a short drive to RMNP. During our stay we saw deer, wild turkey, elk, chipmunks and a marmot. It was truly just a wonderful place to stay!

A GREAT PLACE FOR MY FAMILY

  • 5 of 5
My family and I live just outside Denver and visit Estes Park several times a year…and AspenHaus Wanderer will be our "go-to" place from now on. The owners obviously care about the place and make sure that everything is nice, super clean and ready for us to come in (great towels, super comfortable beds and pillows, nice appliances, etc.). We have two young kids and this place has a pack-n-play and a child's high chair (the kind that straps to a regular chair) that work really well for us…and we don't have to bring our own. We love to use the grill and sit on the deck -- the neighborhood is quiet and there is a river nearby that our kids like to throw stones into. [Although, I should note -- it's not so nearby that I worry about them getting out and into it on their own - I often worry about things like that but not here]. The neighborhood also has a playground which is great because our kids love being outside. My husband likes his coffee in the morning and they even have that stocked for us! They also have fast internet which is important because we often work a little bit when away for our short trips. And, the cabin backs up to a mountain so it's very private yet in a neighborhood too, so you don't feel too remote…best of both worlds. Lots of pluses...too many to mention... but one of our very favorite things about this house is that the Rocky Mountain National Park is a short walk away. We can just walk right in -- for a short or a long hike -- without having to drive into the park. This is a great Rocky Mountain cabin --- I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words! We especially appreciate your comments on how clean you found our home, as we think our housekeeper and her crew are the best : ) We are also very happy that it shows how much we care about AspenHaus Wanderer...we have worked very hard to make it the perfect Rocky Mountain home away from home and it was fun sharing it with your family! Thanks again and best! Jim and Kathy Hines, Owners
