'COMFY' ASPEN BROOK HOME WITH LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION (RIVER-YMCA-RMNP)

Estes Park Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedroom Home Located In Aspen Brook, Sleeps 6

'It's not just a transaction...for us it's our passion!'

AspenHaus 'Wanderer' is situated in the Estes Park community of Aspen Brook with shared access to the Big Thompson River. From our cozy mountain home it's just a short walk into the Rocky Mountain National Park, 1/2 mile to the YMCA of the Rockies, 2 miles to the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP and 3.5 miles to the town center. Or simply leave your car at our home and take the FREE Estes Park Summer shuttle from a stop located less than 1/4 mile from AspenHaus Wanderer!!

And AspenHaus Wanderer is right down the road from AspenHaus Lodge (owned by our friends Sue and Mark Werder who will be facilitating your stay for us). We have freshly updated our cabin to provide you with the same ultimate Rocky Mountain experience you have come to know from AspenHaus!

As far as those updates...we have upgraded to granite countertops in the kitchen and all new stainless steel appliances; and purchased a new washer/dryer, a new natural gas grill for the deck and some fun mountain cabin furnishings. We have also re-finished the pine floors, painted the entire interior and stained/painted the exterior deck and trim. All ready to go for you to enjoy!

Our 1,075 sq ft home has a main level vaulted great room which is an ideal gathering space...enjoy the ambiance of the gas log Colorado moss rock fireplace situated in a warm and inviting living room setting complete with an adjoining fully equipped kitchen and dining room area. Picture windows all around...no artwork needed on these walls!

Step out on the deck to enjoy the sounds of the Big Thompson River, just a stone's throw-away; and sneak a peek of it through the pine trees along with the Continental Divide's Notchtop Mountain... you can take it all in while having your morning coffee, an evening glass of wine or cooking dinner on the grill. And while you are there be sure to say “hey” to our frequent visitors including elk, mule deer and wild turkeys!

The main floor bedroom has a king-sized bed with an adjoining full bath. Also on the main floor and adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry with full washer and dryer.

The second level of AspenHaus Wanderer has two bedrooms (a king bed in one and a combination queen/twin bunk in the other); sharing a full bathroom located off the loft hallway.

As our guest you will enjoy access to shared common fishing, picnic and playground areas along the Big Thompson river... all just a short walk from our cabin.

While you are at it- take a short woodsy walk along the Big Thompson River and emerge to expansive views of Moraine Park. Visit the museum, catch the shuttle to other RMNP destinations or continue your hike on to Cub Lake where you will have extraordinary opportunities to view herds of elk along the way.

Need we go on... our family thinks that AspenHaus Wanderer is perfect in every way... not just another vacation rental but our perfect mountain home!

About Sue W.

We hail from Indiana; and are diehard fans of the Indianapolis Colts, the Rocky Mountain National Park and (most of all!) our 5 grandchildren who love to frequent Estes Park with our 2 daughters and their husbands. We should also tell you that we are avid hikers...'Wanderer'! The cabin is ideal for hikes, many of which begin right from our doorsteps and continue into the RMNP from trailheads less than 1/4 mile away.

Sue W. purchased this cabin in 1993

Why Sue W. chose Estes Park

Location, location, location...the Big Thompson River, the YMCA of the Rockies, the National Park trails and the Dunraven Inn all within a short walk...the Beaver Meadows entrance to the RMNP, the village center of Estes Park and some of our favorite restaurants all within a short drive. We knew immediately that AspenHaus 'Wanderer' was the one for our family!

What makes this cabin unique

Walk directly into the RMNP or access the shuttle bus by foot to avoid traffic and delays!

Perfect Cabin for visiting Rocky Mt Nat Park

  • 5 of 5
We spent an awesome week at this beautiful cabin. The cabin was pretty, spotlessly clean, roomy for the 5 of us, and minutes to downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mt Nat Park. We hiked many beautiful hikes and fell in love with RMNP. We hiked trails at lower altitudes: Bear Lake, Nymph Lake, Dream Lake, Emerald Lake, Deer Mt, Lily Lake and Lily Lake Ridge Trail. We drove the Trail Ridge Road. We rented a pontoon in Lake Granby. RMNP is stunningly beautiful; we definitely will return to RMNP. Sue, who managed the AspenHaus, was wonderful. Thanks again for recommending and renting this place!

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5
Loved our stay! Wish it was longer. Modern cabin that was spotless with lots of extras. We used the laundry, grill, coffee pot, gas fireplace, etc. Great place to relax and stretch out after a day of activities. Quiet area close to park and town. Deck had beautiful view and could sit there and listen and watch the river. Even had a doe wander by and bed down by us.
Sue was great to work with. Did an excellent job sending us info on cabin and things to do. Also stayed in contact to make sure everything was going ok with our stay.
Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!

Can't rave enough!

Can't rave enough!

We rented the Wanderer as home base for our nearby wedding at the YMCA and it was absolutely perfect! The location is excellent - access is super-easy to RMNP by foot or car. The cabin itself was spotlessly clean, well-decorated, and the perfect place to relax after a long day, enjoying the sound of the nearby river through open windows. The property management was extremely friendly and helpful - Sue went above and beyond giving us information on Estes Park, nearby properties, and checking in to make sure our stay there was enjoyable. I'm honestly torn - I want to recommend the cabin to everyone I meet who wants to visit Estes Park, but yet, I want to keep it a secret so that it'll be available whenever we go back!

SO CLEAN AND COZY! WE WILL BE REPEAT RENTERS

  • 5 of 5
We were expecting a nice cabin but oh man did this place knock our socks off! First of all the location was PERFECT. It is close enough to downtown Estes to go there whenever you need to but also far enough away from it to keep you out of the traffic..PLUS it is only a short walk into RMNP!!! It was impeccably clean and from the moment we walked in we were able to relax because the cabin has everything we needed! The management also pays attention to the small details in the cabin like leaving us a bag of local coffee, having games available for the kids, and a book with recommendations and favorite places (which now are some of our own!). The cabin also has a nice grill and a high quality washer and dryer which in addition to everything really made cabin feel like home. The management was incredible and was available for us for the littlest questions. As mentioned above this location is unbeatable. No car needed, just a quick walk into RMNP to some great trailheads. This vacation was easily the best our family has been on and a huge part of that was this cabin. If you are considering this cabin or any from the same management look no further. Be warned you may never want to leave!! We will be back for sure!!!

Owner's Response: Oh man, what a review...you made our day (all of us!)...thank you so much! "All of us" includes my wife and myself, Sue A. who is responsible for the "impeccable" housekeeping and our friend/neighbor Sue W. (aka "the management") who facilitates our guests stay for us. Fabulous house and great location!

  • 5 of 5
We just rented this house for a week and it was fabulous. Everything you would need and very clean. Can hear the river from the front porch and see the mountains. Our older kids could walk into RMNP to fish and also take the shuttle to town. The playground would be great if you had younger kids. Great location to town but far enough away that you still feel like you are in the mountains!!
