Dream house for up to 6 guests

Recently renovated villa with 2 bedrooms with A/C, kitchen, living, and dining room, large living room on the 1st floor with additional sleeping accommodations, as well as a shower and a toilet. The house lies on 100 000 sq.m grounds, which is protected from view and located in a quiet area. The garden contains a large swimming pool of 7 m x 12 m with sun loungers, a large covered sitting area and a covered terrace attached to the house with another sitting area. The ground floor comprises a large entrance area, a cloak room, two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a living and dining area and a kitchen with pantry. On the first floor, there is a large living room with additional sleeping accommodations for two people, as well as a shower and a toilet. The house personnel include a cook/maid, as well as a gardener who also takes care of the pool and the grocery shopping.

The main attraction is, of course, the powdery white beach with turquoise water. The beach is shallow and protected by a coral reef so that there are no high waves or strong changes during high and low tide. You can go on long hikes along the relatively empty beaches. In terms of water sports, scuba diving, surfing, or tours with a glass bottom boat are available, as well as trips to neighbouring islands. There is an 18-hole golf course about 5 km away, which has affordable prices. You can go on safaris into the nearby Shimba Hills or in the Tsavo-East or -West. The Amboseli Park at the base of the Kilimanjaro is also perfect for a safari. You can even go a safari by air plane in the Massei Mara in order to see the big five (rhinoceros, elephant, water buffalo, leopard and lion). Shops (several supermarkets, a butcher, wine shop, bank, post office), are located in the immediate vicinity and comfortably reached on foot. Many of the restaurants offer transportation free of charge.

There is a Jeep that belongs to the house and which can be rented for €150 a week. The Jeep is intended for trips in the immediate vicinity. Longer trips, such as safaris are not possible. The car is insured with comprehensive vehicle insurance (€ 600 deductible). Airport transfer can be arranged for a cost of € 40. Due to the water scarcity in Kenya and the fact that reservoirs are empty, electricity production has been reduced and there are currently scheduled power outages every Monday and Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The house contains a solar power facility that has the capacity to produce 9.3 kilowatt hours to charge 12 large batteries, which serve as energy storage. This powers the entire electrical equipment of the house, including air conditioning and as a result, the house is totally independent from external electricity supplies.
Water is heated through a solar facility. The house has its own drinking water supply and a filtering system on site, so that you will not need to spend time and resources buying and carrying water for drinking or cooking.
Your drinking water usage will be monitored via a meter, and we will charge € 2.50 per cubic metre.
We charge 0.30 €/ kilowatt hour for electricity.
The deposit to the amount of €150 is payable on site and will be used to deduct water and electricity usage.
