The one bedroom flat is located on the 4th floor overlooking the roofs of Paris and a green courtyard, ideal for 2 to 3 pers. You will enjoy the very quiet surroundings and birds singing in the middle of buzzling Paris. This architect designed flat satisfies clients who like comfort and design even in a minimum space. The bathroom can be reached seperately, from the sittingroom or bedroom. It has a bathtub with shower, built-in wash-basin, lavatory, instant heating and towel-rack heating. The cosy bedroom disposes of an alcove french bed for 2 p. Hidden behind mirrors in the corridor, there is a waredrobe for personal effects. More storage space is in the sitting-room, where the sofas are convertables. Electric radiators provide heating as well as an open fire (electric). Cable TV and WIFI / VLAN. Rue Poncelet is off the Avenue des Ternes, just a few minutes walk away from the Arc de Triomphe and avenue des Champs-Elysées. Just in front of the main entrance door, you will enjoy one of Paris' finest food markets 'le marché Poncelet' and suddenly you feel a real Parisan! In fact, Paris is composed of many villages, life is very pleasant here, people will say 'hello' to you and next door neighbours are very friendly. The market is open every day and closed on Monday. But no problem for late night shoppers: there are plenty of shops and restaurants about. Underneath avenue des Ternes, there is a Car port. The next metro station is 'Ternes' or 'Charles de Gaulle - Etoile'. Plenty of busses stop nearby. On Place des Ternes, the is a kiosk which sells same day cut off theatre tickets. The world famous concert hall 'Pleyel' is just a 10 minute walk away. Impossible to name all the hundreds of restaurants in the area....

  • The bathroom is tiles in white. There is a bathtub with shower, heating is provided by infra-red heating and a AKOVA heated towel rack. Guests dispose of a hairdryer, towels, soap, toilet paper and Kleenex.

  • The bed in the bedroom is always freshly made up. In the sitting room there are 2 convertables, they open up into 2 double beds, but it does get a bit crowded, when both are open, this is why I think it is a flat for 2 to 3 people! The flat being on the 4rth floor is very quiet, you can sleep with the windows open, unless someone in the building has a party, in which case I suggest, you get yourself invited or use earplugs. It doesn't happen very often! In the morning you can hear the birds singing, and from time to time the concierge, who takes the dustbins out into the street. Maybe then you close the windows, turn over and go back to sleep. The advantage of the situation is: you hear no trafic whatsoever, feel no underground vibrations!

For comfort and charme in winter, there is an electric open fire place with additionnal heating. There are electric thermosstatic heatings in all rooms. On arriving, there is always a reserve of water, juice and beer in the fridge, as well as coffee and tea. Please help yourself.

Advantages: Many of my guests come back. Paris is an exiting town and it is a pleasure to recover in pleasant surroundings. Especially with the market in front of the doorsteps, cooking becomes very easy, most of the delicatessen are warmed up for you, just sit down and enjoy your meal. That way, you will save a lot of money, because Paris is expensive - breakfast in hotels are up to 20 €, in luxury hotels even more. The situation of the flat is very central yet in quiet surroundings.

Disadvantages: There is only one disadvantage: there is no elevator to go the the 4rth floor. Which means: not recommanded for people in wheelchairs or guests with heart-problems. The staircase is large and comfortable, most guests - and we too - make a little stop-over on the third floor...

Infos and ideas: Shopping : the market in the rue Poncelet, open every day except Monday from 9 to 13h and from 15h to 19h and Sundays only until 1.0pm (bakery shops open very early) The departement store Monoprix is just across the road in ave des Ternes, excellent food store on the lower ground floor open every day except Sundays until 10pm. Two other supermarkets to your right coming out of the front door. FNAC: Big Departement store (like Virgin) avenue des Ternes Public Letterbox: Just across the road, slightly to your right next to the brasserie. Post-Office: Avenue de Niel (3minutes’ walk) Parking : Underneath avenue des Ternes Taxi: Place des Ternes next to the brasserie “Lorraine” Avenue Wagram next to Arc de Triomphe “Pariscope” Like “Whats’ on in London” read “Pick of the week in English” English Newspapers: in the Drugstore on top of the Champs Elysées. There you can also buy food and beverages up to 2 o'clock in the morning, chemist is open too.

liebvoll eingerichtete Wohnung, in der man sich sofort "zu Hause" fühlt. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet und das "Lebensmittelangebot" in der Rue Poncelet traumhaft.

Schöne Tage in Paris

Im Mai 2009 haben wir einige sehr schöne Tage in Paris verbracht.
Dabei fing alles nicht so optimal an. Flugzeug verspätet wegen Nebel, Koffer nicht rechtzeitig verladen - wurde erst gegen Mitternacht nachgeliefert.
Zu allem Unglück paßte dann noch der Hausschlüssel nicht (es war ein Nachschlüssel, da alle Schlüssel unterwegs waren). Da wir jedoch die ganze Zeit netten Kontakt zu der Vermieterin hatten, konnten wir mithilfe eines sehr lieben Nachbarn alle Probleme noch am Anreisetag lösen. Der nette Nachbar lieh uns seinen Schlüssel und telefonierte mit dem Flughafen wegen des Koffers. Optimaler Service.
Die Wohnung ist klein aber sehr fein. Wir fanden alles, was wir brauchten und die Lage ist wirklich erstklassig. zur Metro ist es 10 min. Gehweg und man hat Anschluß in alle Richtungen. Zum Eiffelturm kann man leicht zu Fuß gelangen. Die Einrichtung der kleinen Wohnung ist sehr stilvoll, alles top gepflegt und sauber.
Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir haben die Wohnung bereits im Bekanntenkreis weiterempfohlen.

Über den Dächern von Paris

Sehr schöne gepflegte Ferienwohnung in einem typischen Pariser Haus aus der Haussmann-Ära, schön möbliert und ausgestattet mit allem modernen Komfort. Perfekte Infrastruktur in der Umgebung (u.a. Bäckereien, Käse-, Wein-, Feinkostgeschäfte, Supermarkt, Technikfachgeschäft, Post, gute Bistros und Restaurants) und sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung (U-Bahn-und Bus-Haltestellen in 5 Minuten Entfernung, direkte Busverbindung zu Gare de l'Est und Gare du Nord). Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Streifzüge durch Paris (auch Montmartre ist nicht weit) sowie Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung (z.B. von der Gare St. Lazare nach Giverny und in die Normandie). Wir haben die Wohnung genau so vorgefunden, wie sie von der Vermieterin beschrieben wird. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war stets sehr freundlich. Sie hat uns auch mit vielen nützlichen Tipps ausgestattet. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Genau so haben wir uns eine Ferienwohnung in Paris gewünscht! Gerne werden wir mal wieder in die Rue Poncelet kommen und gerne empfehlen wir dieses hübsche Domizil über den Dächern von Paris weiter.

Erholsame Urlaubsoase in der Metropole Paris

Meine Frau und ich sind große Paris-Liebhaber und hatten schon verschiedene Wohnungen ausprobiert. Diese Wohnung finden wir in jeder Hinsicht perfekt und voller persönlichem Charme. Daher fahren wir im September 09 im drittem Jahr in diese Wohnung. Wir fühlten und fühlen uns immer hervorragend betreut. Super sind die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Marktstr. Rue Poncelet. Besonders der Weinladen gegenüber der Eingangstür zum Innenhof der Wohnung (beste Beratung) und einen der besten Käsehändler von Paris, Alleosse (machen übrigens geruchssichere Käsepakete zum Mitnehmen fertig). Neben der guten Verkehrssituation finden wir es toll, das man wirklich zu alen großen Sehenswürdigkeiten per pedes kommt, darüber hinaus das Quartier jede Menge Möglichkeiten zum Flanieren und Erholen (z. b. Parc Monceau) bietet.

Die Wohnung ist top gepflegt und ideal gelegen. Mitten in einem der besten Viertel von Paris - 5 Gehminuten zum Arc de Triomphe. Der Stadtteilmarkt direkt vor dem Haus ist der absolute Traum - Aufstehen, Einkaufen und über den Dächern von Paris schlemmen. Wer da noch ein Hotel bucht, ist selber schuld!!! Jederzeit wieder!
