Hamilton Mobile Home Rental Photos and Description

One And A Half Bedroom, One Bath Mobile Home

Welcome to Cackleberry Cottage, our 1959 Art Craft Vacation Rental.

This one and a half bedroom, one bath mobile home sits in a private, tucked away corner of our property. We are located two miles south of Hamilton Montana, in the magnificent Bitterroot Valley.

Cackleberry Cottage is an overnight, weekly, or monthly rental; fully furnished and ready to be lived in.

The bedroom has a queen bed and the couch in the living room folds out for additional sleeping space if needed.

There is wireless internet and great cell phone coverage. There is not, however, a television, washer, dryer or telephone.

This mobile home belongs to my parents, who live in it about three months each year. It was lovingly 'rescued' from abandonment, brought to our property, and subsequently renovated as a family project. We have filled it with so many happy memories, and hate to see it sit empty when my parents are back at their main residence in CA.

Cackleberry Cottage overlooks beautiful pasture land with the Sapphire mountains in the distance. Only one neighbor house can be seen past the cottage, where our little dirt road dead ends. The cottage has it's own access road, separate from our home, and there is a privacy fence between the back of the cottage and the side yard of our house, so privacy is complete for both of us.

Good place to stay.

I needed to arrive in Hamilton a few days earlier than expected, and saw the listing of this place, and it was available.
For the price I expected something dumpy, but it was a pleasant surprise. Clean and well maintained.
Pleasant quiet neighborhood. [There is a train track near by, but the line is not in use.]
The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Exactly what I expected

This little cottage is a nice place to get away. I liked that there was no TV. There was a very interesting book selection. My son enjoyed reading "Python for Kids". Everything is cozy and functions fine. We even got a dozen fresh from the farm eggs, which were very tasty. I highly recommend the blue ones :) We hiked along the abandoned railroad tracks and saw deer and played in the creek. It was a nice vacation and the hostess is very accommodating and pleasant.

I had such a good time staying at this cottage

  • 5 of 5
I rented this cottage last summer for a week. If you like the Bitterroot Valley, this is a perfect spot. The owners were very accommodating and the cottage was very clean. I had fallen in love with Hamilton a couple of years ago, but when my friend who lived there moved away, I needed an economical way to stay for a week. This place fit the bill perfectly, since I prefer to cook in most of the time.
