About Jared Braiterman

I am a design researcher splitting my time between San Francisco and Tokyo. When I am not in San Francisco, I rent out my place. A former tenant serves as the property manager, so you will always be greeted by a friendly local.

Jared Braiterman purchased this condo in 1999

Why Jared Braiterman chose Mission Dolores

I bought this property because it is in the most central place in San Francisco. Since then, the immediate neighborhood has become a food destination with many local and handmade goods for sale on Valencia Street. Parking is difficult, but this is the best place for public transportation and for walking in San Francisco.

What makes this condo unique

The home is incredibly comfortable. It is a large one bedroom with a chef's kitchen and bathroom with separate shower and soaking tub. The backyard feels like a tropical oasis, despite the close proximity to Market Street. Whole Foods supermarket is 25 yards away.

Restful sanctuary and amazing launching pad for enjoying San Francisco

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here while in town visiting friends and family in SF. While we like to be active during the day shopping and seeing the sights and then going out for dinner in the evening, we enjoyed having this lovely apartment to return to. The spaces are clean, quiet and well designed. The bed is firm and comfortable. We only made coffee and toast in the kitchen but could have easily made full meals. The japanese style tub is a real treat and incredibly relaxing. The location is ideal for exploring the Mission district but is very central. We had a car but chose to walk to many places in the neighborhood for food and shopping. The owner and his associates are responsive and courteous. We look forward to staying again when we're in town!

Beautiful Home + Wonderful Location

  • 5 of 5
You don't need me to tell you how beautiful the house is, have you SEEN the pictures? It might even look better in person... I mean, you're like taking a bath and there's like a friggin tree in the window right next to you?! You're like playing Granny Smith on your ipad in the little nook next to the living room, with those little teeny chairs and you find a pillow shaped like a kangaroo?!! You're like eating leftovers at the round table by the kitchen, and you look outside and there's a friggin tropical garden with them palm trees just chilling there.. If you found this place and it's available for the dates you need, YOU GOTTA BOOK IT NOW. It's honestly better than most of the deals I researched before booking, astounding for how cheap it is given the size of the place. And it's so homey... The kitchen is fully stocked, literally with any cooking gadget you could possibly ask for (including a pan for making madeleines? WHAT?) As a compulsive cupcake baker, I was basically in heaven. There are also prepared toiletries and whatnots if you forget to pack something. Besides, the safeway and whole foods are so close you can literally hop over in your pajamas.. after you take full advantage of the Japanese soaking tub that is... it's like crazy better than a bathtub,, hello... And of course the location! It's within walking distance to the park, at the heart of the "hippest" part of town. Yes you will have to put up with rich white teens and tweens who dress like they're homeless, but who cares! They're mostly nice human beings who believe in organic things and freedom and all that cool stuff. And great coffee shops!!! Did I mention you're like across the street from the US mint? You don't want me to get started on the U.S. mint....

Live here, you will never want to leave....

I do feel obligated to share with you that there is no television, and if you're like me (which I'm sure you wouldn't want to admit after reading this review), you might go into a little bit of withdrawal, but trust me, it's for the best, it forces you to do things with your life like spending quality time with loved ones, cook delicious food, and of course, hang out with them trees.

Perfect Place in the Heart of It All

  • 5 of 5
This was an absolutely perfect place to spend some time in the City. First off, the location can't be beat. It is just a few paces from the new Whole Foods, across the street from a Safeway, and within a block of dozens of restaurants (including two of the old school taquerias, hello Mission style burritos!). The MUNI F line is right on the corner. The rest of the MUNI services are two blocks away on Church. You really couldn't ask for better connections.

As for the condo itself, it's amazing the job they did with the renovation. The building must be 100 years old or more, but the condo feels very modern, with nice clean lines, lots of open space, and cool architectural touches like exposed I-beams and original pocket doors. The kitchen is one of the best I've seen in any place ever. Viking range, Kitchenaid stand mixer, plenty of dishes and utensils. It was very relaxing to sit on the back porch and look over the garden with a cup of coffee while I did my email. And did I mention the Japanese soaking tub in the bathroom? A definite plus.

And I'm not usually into foam mattresses, but this one was extraordinarily comfortable. Honestly I haven't slept that well in a long time.

Jared was so nice and answered all my questions super quickly. The key hand off was easy. The place was immaculately clean when I arrived.

As a clincher, two blocks away on Church, just down from Market, there's a sushi restaurant where they send the dishes around on little wooden boats. Yes! Within a few paces of that is everything else you could possibly need.

If you want a relaxing stay in the best neighborhood in SF, this is the place for you. Highly recommended. Can't wait to come back!
