**************Apartment Description*********

The layout and Space of this apartment is unique in that there is a separated Kitchen and Living room which gives you two areas to hang out in. The Bedrooms are also on opposite sides of the living room. It has a main bedroom Ensuite Bath & a second washroom with walk in shower in the main apartment.

The Whole place was renovated about a year ago after a flood and the floors, boards, furniture were all replaced with new. We also added 2' wooden slat blinds on all the windows which, alone, cost of over $5k.. Everything in the apartment is top quality and is set up and designed to target corporate rentals. A movie Studio had it for the last year and Coca Cola took it for a year during the run up to the Olympics.

The Building is only 9 years old so It has excellent sound proofing and amenities.

The Apartment has a full Gym, which is quite large, well stocked with modern equipment and has a small yoga space, a Sauna and a Steam Room. There is a secure gated parking space with the Apartment which is located on the first level of the Underground, so easy Access.

This was my first VRBO experience and it couldn't have better. Conor responded in lightning speed to check me in, even though I was inquiring very last minute. When I arrived at his apartment, I realized how great of a decision I had made. The apartment is extremely comfortable and very well thought out. Conor thought of everything. Even though the building is only 9 years old I upgraded pretty much everything with Maple Floors, 2' Wooden Slat blinds, high quality Artwork and all bedding replaced with new each quarter.

GREAT CONDO, CONVENIENT LOCATION

We rented this condo during the weekend of our wedding for the bridal party get ready in the morning of the wedding and for the bride and groom to stay in after the wedding.
It is a great size for the area and was well equipped with anything you could need in a home-away-from-home; coffee and tea in the kitchen, plenty of towels and toiletries etc. The bedding was all new and the beds were very comfortable.
This can be a loud area at night (we chose to sleep with the window open which made a vast difference) with many night clubs nearby but considering how convenient the location is, it’s worth it. It can also get quite bright in the morning which can make it a bit more difficult to sleep in, however I like my room to be pitch black when I'm sleeping!
Connor was very accommodating; allowing us to check in early, meeting us at the condo for check in, was easy to get a hold of with any concerns or questions and, after I left my diamond earrings at the condo, made their safe return an ease.
We would highly recommend this condo!

SMALL BUT CENTRAL

Good points about this rental?
1. The owner is super friendly and efficient, so booking process was quick and straightforward.
2. Apartment is clean.
3. Apartment is well equipped - even umbrellas in the closet should you need them!
4. Beds are comfy.

Bad points about this rental?
1. Being 'on trend', it's one of those buildings with floor to ceiling windows and the windows face south / south west, so it becomes a sweat box on a sunny day, even with the blinds drawn.
2. There is no elevator from the parking spot to the apartment. We were in Vancouver working with a lot of gear and it was an absolute nightmare trying to wrestle all our equipment through door ways, up stairs, all using pass keys every stage of the way. If you don't have much gear, this won't be a problem, but if you have heavy or awkward stuff to carry, then be prepared to make lots of trips from parking lot to apartment.
3. Calling it '3 bedroom' is a bit of a stretch. It's 2 bed plus den. Den is closet sized with no windows, so yes, you can just get the single bed in there, but it wouldn't be a pleasant sleeping experience! Still, this is the city I guess and things come small, so maybe this is normal??

Owner's Response: Unfortunately this was my fault. The guest has requested an early check in and so I brought the keys to their work place instead of meeting them at the apartment to show them around.

Obviously, the lifts do go directly from the Apartment to the parking spot but the guest managed to miss them and took the admittedly awkward stairs in error.. The lifts are beside the stairs so this was unfortunate.

Once in the apartment they turned on the small floor standing fan rather than the air conditioning system, which was again due to my not leaving instructions because I usually show every guest around personally.

I have rectified this for future guests and will leave clearer instructions for the lifts and Air-conditioner.

Regarding the size, the apartment is 900 Square feet, which is considered large for an apartment, but I appreciate that size is comparative and depends what you are used too..

PERFECT LOCATION!

We had an absolutely terrific time staying at Conor's place. He was a very gracious host. The apartment was well maintained and very clean. Definitely better than staying in a small hotel room. The apartment was sunny and very roomy. We have never been to Vancouver and this location was within walking distance to all of the neighborhoods, shops and train stops. Neighborhood was very safe. There was a full size kitchen but we didn't use it much as we wanted to try the local restaurants in the area. When we left his apartment, I realized a day later than I had left my medication behind. Conor was very accommodating and offered to send me the medications but I had left the country and found it was quite costly to send back to the US. All in all it was a great place to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing. I highly recommend it.

The Apartment is really very well situated in that you can easily walk to the Yaletown bars, Robson Street Shopping or the main beach within 5 minutes. Staying in any of those areas means a lengthy walk to the others so a central location is just so convenient.

The Davy village shops, restaurants and food-markets are less than a 2 minute walk while the main city cinema, the Scotiabank theatre, is about 3 blocks away. While the Davy street bars are close they are far enough that you will have more peace at night than the Yaletown or Granville street locations, which are packed until the early hours. You can be home from those bars in less than 5 or 10 minutes when you do call it a night!

Soundproofing in the apartment is also excellent so there is very little street noise.
