El Cotillo is situated on the northwest corner of Fuerteventura. Cotillo's main attractions are the wonderful beaches and lagoons. The duplex is located to the north of the village just in front of the fine white sand lagoons. The closer you walk towards the lighthouse the more secluded the lagoons become. All of these lagoons are safe for young children to swim and play. The village also offers a few shops, bars, 2 banks and 3 well stocked supermarkets, and if all this isn’t enough Corralejo, the main tourist area for Fuerteventura, is only 19km 15-20 minutes drive. There is an excellent and a reliable bus service, which is inexpensive and a great way of getting about Fuerteventura. Cotillo has fantastic beaches and lagoons that lie to the south of this little harbour town. From the cliffs there are several footpaths that lead down to the Playa del Castillo, one of the nicest beaches in this region.
