Aloha and welcome to Aloha Bay, our new, family-friendly tropical escape and your soon-to-be favorite vacation rental in Sea Isle. Our nicely decorated home is nice and bright, and includes many recent updates.
It is located on the first canal (closest to the bay) in Galveston's well-known west end subdivision, Sea Isle, and faces the bay. From the bottom deck or top deck of Aloha Bay, you can enjoy three views of the bay, some amazing sunrises and sunsets, and plenty of birdlife!
Downstairs we have extended decking with a spot lamp for night fishing. If you like to watch or catch fish, you'll enjoy fishing just steps away from the back door, or the blender! At Aloha Bay, there is water everywhere you look.
The newly updated 900 square-foot house is cozy, very clean and comes with many amenities to make your vacation relaxing, comfortable and convenient.
(Please note: We DO accept credit cards; no pets are allowed on premises, Mahalo); and we have an occupancy limit of 6 people for overnight stays). Our home is a great place for individuals, families, retirees, Ku ‘uipo (sweethearts), overworked corporate types (you know who you are), bird watchers, aspiring writers, or anyone needing a relaxing, quiet escape under the stars.
Aloha Bay is one mile from the beach, a perfect distance for a nice stroll or power walk. We are also about a mile from the Sea Isle Marina, where there is lots to do including a casual, come as you are bar/restaurant called the Sand Bar, as well as a more upscale restaurant upstairs called the West End.
The bar offers video games, pool, shuffleboard, TV sports, and near the marina, there is also a swimming pool, a free boat ramp, boat storage, tennis courts and a convenience store.
In addition, there is a bait shop that sells live bait at the Sea Isle Marina. There is a wide, lighted fishing pier in Sea Isle for owners and guests to use day and night. It is free; you will have a key as our house guest. For birding enthusiasts, there is a bird sanctuary adjacent to our neighborhood.
Guests can purchase a pass to the swimming pool at the marina. It is $25 for up to 10 people for an entire week and opens Memorial Day. Depending on the weather, the pool is usually open daily through the summer, then, after Labor Day, it is open weekends (weather permitting) through the end of October.
Our guests can launch a boat from the Sea Isle Marina, but our slip is NOT available for guests' use.
Our immaculate house will sleep up to 7, which includes the extra-wide couch in the living room. All living space is located on the second level. There are two bedrooms: one has a king-sized bed and the other room has a queen-sized bed and bunk beds. There is an extra-wide sofa in the living area that will sleep one adult. Upstairs there is a full-sized bath tub and shower. All linens are furnished. Downstairs is a utility room with a toilet, hand sink, and an outdoor enclosed shower.
The house has central air and heat, hardwood-like floors in common areas and plush carpet in bedrooms, and an all-electric kitchen that comes with basic seasonings, ice maker and plenty of cooking pots, pans, and utensils to prepare complete meals easily.
If you like to crab, we have a crab trap for your use. There's an electric grill for fabulous pancakes, a coffee maker, blender, food processor, mixer and crock pot.

We look forward to Welcoming you to Aloha Bay!
We love the beach and being near the water. We bought this beautiful home as a retreat for our O'hana (families) to enjoy! We are working professionals who work hard and like to unwind on the weekend. Aloha Bay is the perfect place for us to relax.
Kendra purchased this house in 2013
We love to travel!! We have a busy family life and this location gave us the opportunity to getaway and not have to get on an airplane. With a growing family, this saves on airfare and is only a short distance away.
First canal, facing bay, close to T for great fishing! Bay and canal views. Fully outfitted home and kitchen for your convenience! Kid friendly! Swing downstairs and fully fenced yard! Partially covered, extra-large upstairs deck.
Sea Isle is the best kept secret in Galveston. We love it and will return again and again. The same can't be said for this home. We have been spoiled in our 10 years of renting clean, well-appointed homes with prompt friendly customer care in the west end of Galveston.
This little house has reminded us of what superior standards all of the homes we have rented have maintained and offered. Unfortunately this home owner has not learned the subtleties of managing and presenting a vacation home worthy of renting. From the pantry and refrigerator stocked with the owners personal groceries left behind, which left very limited space for any of our own items, to the general poor condition of the house. I'm happy to share pictures on request of the thoroughly stained couches, ceiling fans with an inch of thick dust on each blade, garage sale find cookware, frayed miscellaneous miss matched towels, moldy decorations, raw unfinished guest bathroom stocked with dead insects at every stud. Grills with grime, crust and old charcoal on 100% of the cooking surface.
We have always treated any home we rent with great care and respect as we like returning repeatedly to all of the properties we have experienced thus far (with this exception) and left this home in slightly better condition than when we walked in. Communicating with the owner was a challenge from the beginning. Slow, vague, mostly rude (happy to share emails) but were barraged with random accusatory texts a week after leaving the property.
We made the best of our 8 days there as Sea Isle is an idyllic spot for our family but this house and the overall experience with the home owner was a sad and unfortunate dark cloud on our family’s long awaited vacation.
We hope the owners learn to honor their guests with better thought, care and improved customer service.
We recently stayed at property #502202 at Sea Isle in Galveston for 10 days. It was our best vacation ever, we did not want to leave. It was our first time to stay at a canal house. It was wonderful to have our boat right downstairs in the boat slip. We caught an abundance of fish every time we went out. We also caught them right off of the deck at the canal. We caught everything, red fish, black drum, croakers, lady fish, crabs, sting rays and more! The house had everything that we needed to have fish frys in the evenings. The beds were comfortable, and the house had a very cozy feel to it. We loved that the marina and boat dock were in the neighborhood. The neighborhood restaurant and bar were great. We loved the upstairs dining also. My grandchildren loved the bunk beds, the beach and the pier. The fenced yard was nice too! Kendra and Ryan were wonderful to work with. Galveston has several great restaurants, The Spot and Saltgrass, were a few that we enjoyed. We will definitely be back next year!
My husband and 3 girls (4, 7, & 13 yrs) all LOVE to fish and this was the perfect place to do it! It was safe (gates all around the property) and plenty of room for the little ones to cast off their lines just off the dock. We caught red fish, catfish, sand trout, speckled trout, and a 20 inch flounder (13 yr old). We used live and dead shrimp bait. The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor shower was a real convenience after the beach! I really liked that there was an actual parking area for "Sea Isle" residents for the beach. Our mini-van got stuck on the beach once - not fun. Overall great place for young and old- especially the fishing!
I rent beach houses and condos every year sense my daughter was born.. this was by far the best time we ever had! There was so much to do in the area and the community where the house is located has everything u could need!! A very nice lighted pier with keys to it provided by the owners, a marina with all types of bait and tackle a nice bar and grill with a live band on the weekends also a private park and pool for everyone in the community. Every one waves as you pass them by its perfect to us! We grilled food every night and had fresh fish and crab we caught right off the dock in the back. At the bottom of the house is the perfect place to cool down on summer days or even have a dip in the canal like we did. The bottom of the house comes with an outside shower perfect for a morning shower or rinsing off the sand also a room with a fridge, toys and floats for the water and beach, fishing gear and a crab trap the deck also has a light for night fishing. We caught a nice amount of speckled trout and a few flounders while I was there right out back. The beaches are so much nicer than in town and there's a private one for guest only too. We could not have had a better time in fact when are time was up we decided we did not want it to end and even with very short notice the owners gladly let us stay a couple more days and made it very easy. I have to say the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of renting from! This houses easily slept 7 people and had everything in the kitchen u could need. Very nice big deck upstairs too! Bring your food and family the house pretty much comes with everything else. We will be staying here again and even looking into buying in the area one day. Thanks again for a great week!!
My family of 4 stayed here for a quick 2 night getaway. The boys were a little put off by the pink surfer girl decor in one bedroom, but they got over that right about the time we reeled in the first (of many) fish. Then the stingray really sealed the deal. The house is clean, well appointed, the beds are VERY comfortable. The owners and management were very prompt and accommodating.
The only thing that detracted from this trip at all was the mosquitoes. This time of year you will be fighting those bloodsuckers anyways. But, within 30 seconds of getting out of the car, we were hit by a swarm and just covered with them. Up on the deck wasn't quite as bad, but they hung around the carport area downstairs. We said that next time we came we would bring a Mosquito Magnet and set it out in the middle of the front yard!
All in all, it was a great experience, and we plan to be back many times.
Our family of 7, kids ages 15 to 6, absolutely loved this home and its accommodations. We have been to Galveston 4 years in a row in June/July at a different location each time and this is by far our very favorite. The home was exceptionally clean and stocked with towels, kitchen needs, and other necessities. The downstairs room had an extra refrigerator for easy storage and access to bait. It was a great extra room with lots of supplies, toys, and a 1/2 bath. The enclosed outdoor shower beneath the stairs was another convenience we used daily. The absolute best thing about the downstairs dock area was the fencing. For younger kids, it was a great safety feature and relieved the worry about someone accidentally falling unknown into the water. We could enjoy our outdoor fishing and activity 100% of the time. Fishing was very fun and they were biting 5 of 7 nights we were there. We caught catfish, eels, reds, trigger, and zebra fish. No trout this visit. The indoor living area was open, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. A REALLY great amenity that was very helpful was having the washer and dryer upstairs in the hallway. It made washing clothes and towels wonderfully convenient for our family as we fished every evening and visited the ocean every day. I would recommend getting the community pool pass. The pool has an attendant on duty and is very clean and a nice size. The large pool has a shallow round "kiddie" pool right beside it with sun and shade options. There were lots of other things to utilize as well like the tennis courts and park with swings, slides, teeter-totters, and climbing and playing units. Our 7 night stay flew by, and we loved every minute of it. We would LOVE to stay at Aloha Bay should we return to Galveston next year. Everything about it was just perfect!
Sea Isle has many amenities. Marina and bait shop, swimming pool, tennis court, playground, convenience store, bar & grill, full service restaurant and private neighborhood beach access. Access to private fishing pier that is lighted at night. Neighborhood is adjacent to bird sanctuary.
