Great time with old friends! Loved the road runners : ) A beautiful sunset and sunrise made it all the more special. Thank you! P.S. The shooting stars were a treat too
My friends and I loved this house -- a gorgeous place with a good kitchen, and it was close to the park. The soaking tub was a nice bonus after a long day hiking in the park. Recommended!
This was our second time staying at the property. The house is clean and modern. When we stayed in May, the second sink in the bathroom was not functioning, and the fireplace in the living room was also broken. Five months later, on our second stay, both the sink and the fireplace were still broken. I think for the expensive rate, the landlord should have repaired both of these. On our last day, the entire plumbing was backed up, and the toilets could not be used, and the shower was overflowing. I will not be staying at this property in the future.
Our stay at this beautiful house exceeded all expectations. We loved the multiple sitting areas, including three outdoors spaces which were perfect in the summer evening. The bedrooms were perfect and the bathrooms thoughtfully stocked. We had planned to go out to eat but the open kitchen was so ideal for group cooking and hanging out that we decided to cook-in both nights. The first night we took advantage of the house's close proximity to the park and climbed up some boulders for a stunning view of the sunset. The house is perfectly located between two of the main entrances into the park, which was convenient for an afternoon rest as we went in August and it was HOT outside. We were two couples and the house offered both privacy and lots of communal space. McKenzie was considerate and responsive throughout the process, and I'm sure would have helped us with any issues had we had any! In short... stay here, you will not be disappointed.
A perfect place to have as your home base for visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The house has all the amenities that are need (cooking, internet, bedding, games, etc.) and the place is located right in the middle of the Northern Entrances. House was very clean and a great amount of space. Also beautiful night views of the stars.
This was absolutely lovely in every way. Proximity could not have been better, about 5 min to the park entrance, Joshua Tree Village was about 5 minutes away with great little places to eat healthy food. The house was very private, and gorgeous. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well appointed, bathrooms were luxurious, heated floors were perfect, lots of big expansive windows to truly enjoy the scenery. Our kids loved it: good wifi for evening social media catch up, lots of board games, my daughter was in love with the deep soaking tub, and my son sketched every night outside staring up at the stars. Perfect, and this will be our go to each time we return to Joshua Tree.
We recently stayed in Joshua Tree for a few days to do some climbing in the park and found this rental to far exceed our expectations. In the old days we used to rough-it in the park, but we got tired of needless (and cold) camping! The house was very well done for a rental with nice appointments and amenities. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was available. What we found particularly nice was the modern, but somewhat minimalist decor. In other words, the house had very nice furniture and decoration, but wasn't overdone or cluttered with needless furniture or the owner's personal effects. Sometimes, when you get a VRBO it's too personalized, making the stay feel awkward. This house was anything but that - it felt more like we were staying in a luxury hotel rather than someone else's private home. Very nice. Also, the owner/operator is pet friendly and our Boston Terrier pup, Sam, enjoyed his stay as well :) I think this is going to be our go-to house for all future J-Tree climbing (and relaxing) expeditions.
This desert retreat offers amazing boulder and valley views, terrific opportunities to see desert plants and animals in their natural habitat, and unparalleled star gazing. Just a few minute's walk from the park border, you can start your day hiking or bouldering without even getting into your car. Just a few mile's drive to Joshua Tree Village, you'll have easy access to restaurants and local culture. Secluded and luxurious, this property is truly a refuge from the city.
