Located in the heart of Jimena, El Antigua Juzgado is your gateway to the Route of the White Villages and many of Spains finest Natural Parks. Jimena is a walkers’ paradise, with easy access to The Hozgarganta River, one of the areas only remaining undimmed river systems, with an incredible diversity of fauna and flora. The Alcornocales Natural Park is one of the largest in Europe, with its wonderful oak trees, wildlife (deer, boars, raptors, and vultures) and flora. You are near to the beaches of the Costa del Sol and de la Luz. Day trips to Ronda, Sevilla, Tarifa, Cadiz, Gibraltar and Morocco are with in easy reach. Alternatively you can enjoy the Spanish way of life in Jimena’s bars and restaurants and explore the village. It has a Moorish castle that contains important archaeological remains of a Roman town named Oba. Take a stroll along the banks of the Hozgarganta, where the ruins of a bomb factory can be seen.
